Didn't care much for the movie, but would have liked to seen it live. I remember when Wilson Cruz (of My So-Called Life fame) was in it, that would have been cool to see.

Nevermind the seriously misguided movie version...this should really be considered the only "movie" version of this show.
This filming is wonderful...I've seen this show numerous times and heard many different casts...but I can honsetly say I heard/saw things in this filming I hadn't seen before.
Excellent performances all around...will be considered the definitve RENT on film.
Totally buying it.

Looking forward to this. Watching the movie in theaters was my first experience; suffice it to say, it's only gotten better since then. Saw it in New York and DC, and the NY show was one of the best experiences of my life. Can't wait to see this DVD.
I'm excited for this, I liked what they did with the title and everything but I would've rather had another picture or the same but from a different angle or something.
Still a definite buy. Worth the 20 dollars in theaters.

Definitely a buy. I was going to catch this in the theater, but it was on a day I couldn't go, and for some reason, it was only for one day, and tickets were like twenty bucks apiece, I'd rather spend $20 on the DVD, and watch it whenever.
I had the pleasure of seeing this during it's limited theatrical release and was as moved as I was when I first saw it live, this is a must buy for me!
I'll echo what everyone else had said.
Even though it didn't have the energy of actually seeing it live, I really enjoyed this.
It's really sad that it closed.

F**k yes. Now who the HELL is choosing this goddamn awful covers!? How difficult is it to do black text on a white background (or vice versa)?
