wow, now that was fast!! i expected this in MAYBE january or february at the latest but damn, not less than 3 months after it came out. dont get me wrong i like these movies and liked this one a lot so i'm happy for the short wait but i'm just surprised. lol
Best thing in this movie was Milla's outfit. Horrible, convoluted mess.
Well your guys' opinion sure varies from the majority, i know most thought this was hands down the best of the sequels, and while i wouldn't necessarily say that, i think it was one of the better ones in the series for sure.
I loved this movie so much I saw it twice and it was my very first 3D movie. I guess it's going to be a Merry Christmas for this Resident Evil movie fan after all because it's the first thing I'll put on my list. LOL I love the return of classic characters, all the awesome action sequences and all this detail and variety of different colorful set pieces and story ideas all packed into one movie! I loved it and I thought it was epic! I don't even care if people ridicule me for saying I do, because I'm not gonna respond to anything. I just wanted to metaphorically shout it from the rooftops! LOL Even some of the major critics gave it a great review! Whatever, to each his own. But I don't think these movies are complicated enough to be convoluted. Just saying.
kluv, do you have a link with info/surveys showing where most people thought this was hands down the best of the sequels?
To say this movie is the worst of the series is an major understatement: this is THE worst movie I've seen all year (and I've seen A LOT of movies this year).
I'm not one to throw around deathwishes, but honestly, Paul W.S. Anderson should die before he manages to permanently mark the art of cinema and filmmaking with his tastelessness.

Honestly I simply avoided this. I enjoyed the first film and up until this sequel I've given every one a chance but damn these are getting redundant. I mean what ELSE can they do? Seriously this is one of the most played out franchises of all time. Right there with paranormal activity and the Saw films. Add ice age to this list
These films stopped being anything other than ok after Apocalypse......
I haven't seen this yet but so far for me, the worst was Extinction.

WTF happened with her?! she was awesome as Jill in APOCALYPSE but terrible in this movie.
oh, for those who may want to save their money, there's supposed to be extended cuts of AFTERLIFE, RETRIBUTION & and the final RE movie coming out once the final movie has come & gone.
I have to agree. The actress playing Jill just totally threw me out of the film. There were some great set pieces and certainly some great FX but the cliche of Nazi Zombies mixed with her terrible acting as a bad guy just ruined this for me.

not a fan of the cover or this sequel. I am interested in the alternate cut for this movie which reinserts the character bits
Proof that you should never listen to Bloody-Disgusting reviewers.
Chris Johnson, yeah, i'm surprised Evan (from BD) said that. we all like what we like and i have liked (a lot) many of Evan's articles on BD but yeah, i found this movie to be nearly unwatchable. as i said in my initial comment, i love RE's 1-4 but RETRIBUTION was SO bad that it completely quelled any excitement i may have otherwise had for the finale (which is being reported that it will be broken up into 2 parts like HARRY POTTER).
I'm surprised that Resident Evil Retribution is coming out on Blu-Ray next month instead of January or February. But I'll save it on my Christmas list. It already came out on September 14, but why December?
