Return of the King (UK - DVD R2)
Is this the official artwork for the upcoming Return of the King?
Title: Return of the King
Starring: Elijah Wood
Released: 25th May 2004 (TBC)
SRP: £19.99
Our good friends over at DVDDebate.com have posted what would appear to be the artwork for the final Lord of the Rings film. We cannot confirm whether or not this is legit I'm afraid, but we'll try and find out for you next week. The cover also reveals some of the extra material that you can expect to see on the disc. Entertainment in Video have yet to confirm anything for the two disc set, although rumours suggest that it will be arriving in shops from the 25th May this year. We'll bring you more details on this one as we get them. If the artwork is to be believed, you can also expect the disc to include the following:
- Anamorphic Widescreen Presentation
- English Dolby Digital 5.1 EX Track
- English Stereo Surround Track
- The Production Of An Epic Adventure Feature
- A Final Look At Middle-Earth Featurette
- Six LordoftheRings.net Featurettes
- Lord Of The Rings Trilogy Outtakes & Bloopers
- Original Theatrical Trailer & TV Spots
- Into The West Annie Lennox Music Video
- Inside Look at the Extended Edition DVD
- Lord Of The Rings Trilogy Video Game Preview
- English Language Subtitles

It certainly looks legit, expecially if compared to the other two releases.

I will... I watch the theatrical releases with casual fans and my family. The extended edition is for ME and my LOTR-rabid friends.

Yeah, I'll buy both. I have for FOTR and TTT. Why stop now?
Darn right I'll be buying both!
I mean, pick up the Theatrical version for around £12 on the net, watch an excellent movie, with a few good extras here and there..... then come October-ish, sell it on eBay for £10.
Stupid not to, if you ask me.

Character on the side
does anyone happen to know which character it is that is in the centre fold of the case. It looks like it is Sam but i'm not too sure, anyone know?
It's Sam.
Tom you mention french subs, but it doesn't say so on the box, plus being a EIV there will be NO french subs on there anyway.
I'll be getting this asap and then the EE in november. I just have too.

Yeah, sorry about that. French subs removed!
It's a fake...
... it must be. Not to sound like a geek but the Catalogue number for this is the same as the Catalogue number for the ltd boxset for the Two Towers. And companies don't do that =)
