Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced rated (97 minutes) and unrated (122 minutes) editions of Rise: Blood Hunter which stars Lucy Liu, Michael Chiklis, and Carla Gugino. This new supernatural thriller will be available to own from the 9th October, with each disc retailing at around $24.96. The film itself will be presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. Extras will include four "Mobisodes", storyboards, and preview trailers.

terrible movie, it's a poor mans Underworld and he's really skint.

Michael Chiklis should be in better stuff than this.

For any fans of Lucy Lui you'll be happy to know she's naked in most scenes, probably because the director needed to keep peoples attention.

Poor, poor Lucy Liu. I think it's safe to say her acting career has hit rock bottom now. Can't get much worse than this or Codename: The Cleaner.

Skinwalkers was nothing like Underworld other than it having werewolves. Actually, IMO, Skinwalkers is one of the best B horror films to come out in a while. Not a good film by any means, but, it had a decent entertainment value, especially the end. And, Underworld is a pretty cool franchise as well. I'll probably rent this or something, not buy.

It probably sucks, but I need to rent it and judge for myself. The Unrated actually has quite a bit of added footage, which is surprising. But if it sucks...that ain't a good thing.

Based on what? Have you even read the synopsis? It is absolutely nothing like Underworld. Except that it has vampires.

So Michael Chiklis actually found the time to shoot a B horror thriller in between The Shield and Fantastic 4. I think he can get better scripts than this.

It never hit theaters as far as I know. I've already seen it, I really didn't like it. And poor Lucy is starting to look her age.
