i like 'rise of the silver surfer' a little better than the first one. that might be just me though?
Way better than the first, i'd say! Galactus was totally awesome! I'm getting tired of Dr. Doom, he's boring.
i think jessica alba, is the hottest movie actress ever born
Heard it was good. I'll rent.
Silver Surfer on the covers...looks like he just came from a Nike air advertisement.
An Average movie @ best !!!! Terrible casting by the way. Chris Evans is the only thing in this movie. Jessica Alba is horrible and fugly
I like both the covers despite that the 2-disc cover doesn't have the FF on it. I liked the movie better than the first one so I'll definitely be picking up the 2-disc edition.
i hated the first one...
i'll get this one anyways, as i always do!
but i liked SM3 much better than F4

It mentions commentaries in the text my half-blind friend.
anyone know if the first disc of the 2 disc is a flipper?

Why does the Blu-Ray version get a DTS soundtrack and not the standard DVD version? The first movie had DTS, I will see what the region 3 disc has to offer - they always seem to get DTS.

Because the Surfer uses the Power Cosmic. Not really rocket science.

It's not completely barebones, it has two commentaries, which is better than nothing.

The 2-disc cover makes me laugh, is this a FF film or a Silver Surfer film?
and sorry guys, Chris Evans is the only reason to watch this movie.<3

Fox finally gets the point! Releasing the 2-disc with the 1-disc set!
Another Fantastic 4 movie. This end is coming.
The power cosmic edition? These DVD edition titles are getting out of hand.
Getting this one, Jessica Alba is hot...photoshopped or not..Steve
Man, that 2-disc set looks sweet. I just had a hard time convincing myself that a 90-minute movie could be called a "superheroe" movie. Though much of the useless antics were spent in the first... If only Fox could have thought of the same treatment for the Die-Hard 4 s**tty edition. They could have called them: The "PG-13 edition" (single disc) and "Truely Die Hard Fan With All The Blood You've Come To Expect Edition". Fox won't return my emails for those bright ideas... I dunno why.

i loved this movie. it was so fun and made me feel like a kid again. great stuff (at least for me)

And now that I have an HDTV, there's really no reason to go to the theaters.
And you hardly pay 50% of what one can pay for a DVD release if one goes to a cheap (and less crowded) matinee showing, without buying the overly priced concessions. But the cost of watching a movie varies greatly from state to state, so you may have a valid point there.
I still go to theaters some, but not nearly as much as I used to. For me, the DVD is much cheaper than a night at the movies: not all of us live near a theater. To see something on the big screen, I have to drive 60 miles to Memphis. And then 60 miles back home. That's about twenty bucks worth of gas, plus my movie ticket. I still go for the big events, but I'm increasingly thinking "wait for the DVD", especially in light of how utterly disappointing some of this summer's flicks have been (and yes, Spider-Man 3, I'm talking about you).
As for FF, the 2 disc cover rocks. The movie wasn't really faithful to the original comic story, so as a lifelong comic geek I was kinda bummed by it; but as a movie fan looking for a good summer popcorn movie, it worked. (That's not really much of an endorsement, is it? Hmm...)

Alba doesn't look as good as in the first movie...
The 2-Disc Artwork is truely fantastic!!

This movie was a big improvement over the first one. I'm definitely going to pick up the 2 disc edition. Great artwork too.
haven't seen this, don't want to.
So few of these comic book movies are actually GOOD.

Man that 2 Disc art is sweet. I will be picking that one up.

I liked the movie, but I don't love it. For certain movies I just don't care about extras... and this movie is one in particular. Plus, the single-disc edition is cheap and has two extras (which is better than nothing). And it will look better on my shelf next to the first movie.
I thought this was much much better than the first one. Faster pace, better story & the Silver Surfer debuts on the big screen

"The Power Cosmic Edition" I like that. Cool cover art. But I think that the first one was better.
I was all over this movie since day 1 when they announced the Silver Surfer was going to be featured. So, natch, I'm all over this DVD when it comes out and forget the single disc deal. Yeah, Alba's a babe but it's Bro's before Ho's on this outing. I also cannot wait for a Silver Surfer movie all by his shiny lonesome.
This movie was ok. Too me, it had the same feeling as a Ninja Turtles movie. It's just something that doesn't take itself too seriously, that you can watch with the kids.
This movie was about as enjoyable as the first....the value being "cheesy popcorn". It had a laughably ridiculous ending, and some shoddy CGI here and there, but then again, so did the first movie.
I seem to be one of the few defenders of the Fantastic Four films. All because they don't take themselves so seriously as to seem as if they were trying to tell Shakespeare of Biblical stories (*AHEM*Spider-man 3*COUGH) doesn't make them bad films. I find them both a serious breath of fresh air. Light-hearted fun and a good time at the movies! Not some melodramatic piece of excess.
And I'm also very pleased that the two-disc set is being released at the same time. I was hoping for an extended cut (as the movie IS pretty short), but this is still most satisfying.

The artwork for the 2-disc is awesome...will buy it when it gets cheap.
This film was a significant improvement over the first. It was actually fun and entertaining, with passable effects and action. It'll be the 2-Disc Edition for me, but I do think the cover for it is a little dark for a film that is still for kids. Anyway, the special features more than make up for it.

It is, but those people who still prefer the full-screen option (are there many of those out there?) are stuck with the widescreen edition on it as well.
i used to like fullscreen but then i was like what the hell ill get wide cause it tends to have less cut off the sides and one day when all tvs are widescreen it will work. honestly i think they want the extra 5 bucks for the 2 disc so they force you to buy it cause flippers are so hated. hopefully the first disc of the 2 disc isnt the flipper from the first disc. bleh.

I like the 2-disc art well enough. Even though the Surfer didn't even really have that much screen time. That was a really cool movie, IMO. It wasn't a cinematical masterpiece, but a nice piece of comicy goodness.
this is a great movie & will get the PC edition

I love both covers! Those are great!
Hated the first one, and didn't get a chance to see this one. This one looks a lot better from what I saw from the previews, and a few friends said this was good. Maybe I'll catch it before it exits theaters. The only negative thing I was told is that it's too short.

That's a big shame... there are some movies nowadays that deserve to be seen on the big screen (not this particular movie, but others). Not even the biggest and best home theaters really replicates the feeling of watching a movie in a genuine theater auditorium, in my opinion.

Saw it in theaters, enjoyed it a bit more than the first one and maybe a bit more than I enjoyed "Spider-Man 3." Love the 2-Disc cover.
Funny how Mr.Fantastic who is the main character stuck way back On the cover.
C**p c**p c**p!
Oh, look! C**p in a DVD box!

Yes it does, in addition to a few more exclusive extras. On a side note, the artwork for the Blu-ray disc is identical to the single-disc artwork.

Yawn! This was like the first one. Lame. Nothing exciting really happens & Galactus is a freakin' cloud! This is what HBO is for. At 3 a.m. The only thing Galactus cured was my insomnia.
This was wayyyyyyyyy better than the first one. Really fun and very cool. Especially the Silver Surfer. He's frickin' awesome!
Dude, they totally photoshopped her boobs. I really really like the 2-disc cover art. I'm still wondering if I should pick it up or not. The special features sound great....

I'm surpised FOX announced both at the same time, aren't they the usual suspects when it comes to double dipping?
So does the Blu-Ray edition come with everything the 2-Disc Edition?
P.S.- Why the hell did they make Alba look so white girl?

If I used that requirement for buying DVDs, I'd never buy a DVD. I haven't been to the theaters in nearly 5 years. Why? DVDs. Oh yeah, Alba's boobs are Photoshopped on the single-disc edition... just like the release of the first movie.
On the other hand, I enjoyed this movie. Better than the first, although the climax was painfully underwhelming.
