I thought it was a really good remake, overall. Granted, it's not better than the original 1987 film by a long shot, but the remake was better than the lackluster RoboCop 3. Definitely a day one purchase for me.

It's not exactly hate-worthy, but it definitely doesn't have half the fun, satirical excitement of the 1987 original. This RoboCop is a different animal, choosing instead to skewer (in the words of George Carlin) "how bad the rest of us are getting f**ked by the upper 1%."
Seconding artman1974's desire to see it out of curiosity. Robocop as a concept is far too intriguing for me not to at least see it once.

The Blu-ray art is way better
I wish I could rent it in June before buying but Netflix and Redbox will make you wait until July.

I haven't seen this yet, but do intend to, just out of mild curiosity (despite all the negative reviews it got). However, with the news I saw recently that a post-conversion 3D version of the film had been released in China, I'm wondering if they're going to be releasing the 3D version later on (after everyone has already bought it) in the States & in my neck of the woods, the UK?
Sweet cover c**ppy movie

I like that it is similar to the old covers, though the emphasis on ED-209 is strange given how little he's in this one. I was also pleasantly surprised to find out that I didn't hate this movie. It's by no means as good as the original but it also isn't just a heartless cash grab as many of these films are. Too bad there will never be a sequel where they could improve on things (like sticking with the silver suit).
