Artwork looks Transformers-like.

i have the dvd trilogy set and thats enough for me. while Part 3 sucks beyond words, i enjoy the first two quite a lot but not so much that i need to double dip. but i've heard bad things about Part 1's original blu release so wonder if they fixed anything or if its the same.
either way, the sad thing is Robocop 3 is probably the one that will look the best. lol

if part 1 is a remaster and the unrated version, I'll buy it just for that disc.
I have the Criterion Collection & the 20th Anniversary Edition. Things went down pretty quickly after the first movie! If the first is available seperately, I'll purcgase only that. The other two movies pale in comparison to the first, I guess a helluvalot was missing to make them equal to the first! Iif Robocop is available alone on blu-ray, I'll definitely purchase!
I hope Robocop is the Director's cut only. This film is plagued with too many dodgy integrated branching releases.
I had no problems with my UK RB disc.
Hopefully, they'll have it remastered properly and without the DNR nightmare the other releases had. The first Robocop blu-ray has the worst blu-ray transfer that I have ever seen. They took all the grain out of it.
I think the first one is the only one worth getting. And I actually liked part3 better than part 2. 2 was the low-point in the trilogy.

Like hell they did.

Damn, I was hoping they'd have finally announced bonus materials. I wouldn't mind if they re-used the disc of the first film already available. While DNR was used, grain was still evident so they didn't go overboard with it, ala Evil Dead II or Predator. It'd be cool if a bonus disc accompanied the original film, porting extras from the 20th Anniversary DVD.
As for the sequels, I enjoyed RoboCop 2 but have yet to see the third. Great cover art, by the way.

They didn't, at least if you're talking about the UK release. Plenty of grain in that. The big problem with it is the contrast boosting, but that's due to the master they used (same as the older DVD releases).

Yeah. I really do hope that this set will be the 'Ultimate' one like Blade Runner and Rocky sets and for MGM, please remaster it with minimal DNR.

The existing Blu-Ray for part 1 is the unrated version.

Been available separately for about 3 years already.

Oh, boy. Not another Robocop release. I think I vowed to not buy this movie any more. Already bought it four times on disc...
I don't know what Matt is talking about with removing the grain. I have the R1 US release and it's grainy/noisy as hell. Looked OK to me, though. I don't mind noise and grain as long as it's a sharp transfer with a good bitrate. I didn't go over it with a fine-tooth comb, but it's better than a DNR nightmare.
As for this release...I kind of doubt it'll be a major restoration. Probably more or less the same thing that MGM already released. Maybe the extras from the DVD of the trilogy will be ported over.

One of the best artworks I've seen, looks amazing. HOPEFULLY it will be remastered, if not, unless it drops to less than $30 (which is what I paid for the trilogy on DVD when it was released), I will not buy.
Oh, remember that grain and noise are not the same.

As long as this has the extras from the Trilogy set, it'll be fine. I really want to see the I'd Buy That For A Dollar scene by it's self.
