A rent.
Will definitely rent it. It didn't look very good or funny, but I love Rudd.
basically the same artwork as the poster, not too bad, thought it was a funny movie, jane lynch definitely stole the show in this one
really wanted to see this. rent then buy previewed if i like
This movie was one of the funniest comedies of the year, but then again the year was full of good comedies (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Zach and Miri Make a Porno, Pineapple Express, Step Brothers, etc). Definite buy for me.
I will pick this up. I'm glad there is an unrated cut. I love extended versions of movies. I'm kind of bummed the commentary is only on the theatrical cut though. Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Paul Rudd are funny. The kid who is not on the cover, Bobb'e J. Thompson, put in a hilarious turn as well. As always, Jane Lynch was funny and Elizabeth Banks was hot. Sean William Scott is best left unmentioned, other than in this sentence.
All around an enjoyable flick.

Step Brothers was average. Nowhere near the comedy masterpiece people are making it out to be. 5/10 at the very best.

I shall be getting the blu version.
Great movie, the trailer and TV spots didn't do it justice.
Missed this in the theaters. The commercials and trailers were kinda funny. Might take a chance and blind-buy.....
It was just meh, nothing special.
I was disappointed with this one. Not that it wasn't funny, but it wasn't as good as the critics made it out to be. I'll pass. By the way Mclovin looks ridiculous on the artwork. Universal should Remove him & keep to the original poster.
I never got to see it in theaters so I'll check it out.
it didnt look funny from the trailer... that's why i skipped this at theater, but i'll give it a chance on dvd...
F**KING funny movie.
i'll rent cuz it looked way funny. But, if good, I might pick it up on blu. I never blind buy any more after I bought the atrocious "Identity" on dvd back when it came out.
Great movie. David Wain is much better than Judd Apatow.
Excellent comedy. Movies are just better with Paul Rudd in them. I was afraid McLovin's character would be too over-the-top but all the LARPing scenes turned out to be the funniest. And Sean Williams Scott wasn't too Stiffler'ish. Some very memorable moments. Will buy this one for sure.
hilarious movie. A definite buy for me.
I wonder if this movie would have attracted more or less people if Universal had advertised that it was from the team behind Wet Hot American Summer.
The first time I saw this movie, I had a mild reaction to it. I saw it again, and it got funnier. I ended up seeing it five times, mainly in dollar theaters with different sets of friends, and it's easily one of my three favorite comedies of 2008.

I agree - it was very hard to keep up with them all - I couldn't - so I will hopefully catching this one soon

a buy for me
I LOVED this movie! Seann and Paul should star in EVERY movie together!
Very mediocre movie with a truly cringeworthy ending. All the best bits were in the trailer and the McLovin guy's storyline was way too prominent, the younger kid was a better actor and a lot funnier. I wouldn't even bother renting it tbh... instead buy Zack and Miri, which is a lot better film.
