The success of this film confuses me. Maybe it's Denzel Washington. Seriously though, where the hell did this movie come from? I never heard about it, or anyone else I knew for that matter, and yet it debuts with around $42 million it's first weekend! The plot doesn't seem that interesting at all, it just seems like a typical thriller. The reviews weren't either bad or great, they were average. The film has so far grossed about $120 million domestically which is pretty good for an R-rated flick. Films and people are just a confusing puzzle altogether. Might chech it out. I'm not really satisfied with the cover.
Missed this in the theaters. Guess this will be a blind-buy...
Omg Solid film, great cast, amazing acting and Denzel Washington. This man is GOLD. Def Buy. I was literally in wow throughout entire movie. Support this flick! You wont regret it
Solid film, Reynold has done nothing but prove how good he is lately (not counting Green Lantern)
NickMichalak, i agree. the extreme shaky cam got tiring but the movie was definitely really good. i was a bit surprised at how good Reynolds was in this.
Not a bad film, but it was more focused on Ryan Reynolds was expecting more of Denzel Washington the way the film was promoted.
This was a solid film, not sure I'd buy it but its worth seeing once
Excellent film! The only negative was the incessant shaky cam, but beyond that, this was really good. You can check out my review of "Safe House" at http://forevercinematic.wordpress.com/
