Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced DVD ($29.98) and Blu-ray/DVD Combo ($34.98) releases of Seeking a Friend for the End of the World for October 23rd. Extras will include commentary with writer/director Lorene Scafaria, her mother Gail Scafaria, producer Joy Gorman Wettels, and actors Adam Brody and Patton Oswalt, 2 featurettes ("A Look Inside Seeking a Friend of the End of the World", "Music For the End of the World: What's on Your Playlist"), and outtakes. The Blu-ray/DVD Combo will also include a digital copy of the film. We've attached the official package artwork for each of the releases below:

I kind of love depressing movies anyway. I'm glad it's ballsy and actually "goes there." I wasn't really thinking it would based on the trailer. Looked really good but I missed it theatrically. Will see it for sure.

Well that's about as uninspired a cover as you can get nowadays. Still really want to see these though. Who cares if it's depressing? The movie will make me feel good if it's a good movie, regardless of tone.

THis movie really sucked it was boring!
I wanted to check this film out but I heard from a few people that it got real depressing real fast by the end of the movie when the title event (SPOILER ALERT!) actually happened. So I'll pass on this!
I loved this film, very funny and very sad. 1st day combo-pack purchase for me.
