The check disc we got apparently had burned in subs, so expect compromised image caps. P**ses me right off when they do that. If I'd have known beforehand I'd have refused the disc.
well it comes down to personal opinion doesn't it?
tom: the region 4 set includes a second disc featuring the following extras:
Quote: DISC 2 (at present, this disc is exclusive to Australia and Benelux - Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg - only but other international territories may decide to release the 2nd disc as well)
- Joss Whedon Q&A Session filmed at FOX Studios in Sydney
- Extended Scenes
- Take a Walk on Serenity: Cast & Crew take us on a special tour of the Serenity ship
- The Green Clan: Feature on Cinematographer Jack Green and his team
hope this helps! :D

Typo in the DVD Description above for Starring: The lead actor's name is Nathan Fillion, and the character he plays is our beloved captain Malcolm Reynolds.
Blame the PR company. The film isn't that good. Can't understand why some people are getting so obsessed with it.

So does the R4 have more extra's than the R2?

now why can't us in the US get an awesome cover like that?!?! even the movie poster would be better than the DVD cover we got here.
Hey Mike D, I must thank you for bringing the Aussie Tin box to my attention - I have pre-ordered it!
Interesting how the R2 does not have a 2 disc set but give it time....

If it's anything like Firefly then it should be good, at least the dialogue won't be awful and the actors won't be wooden.
Cover art is great, wanted to see this but all my friends refused to see it so I couldn't go.

uuu..this must suck..big time
Don't let that turn you off, I'm not at all a fan of Buffy or Angel, but I enjoyed this and the series.

I am looking forward to seeing this.
love the cover art, but I still favour the R4 art slightly. for those who have not yet seen the film but are interested, you can check out the first 9 minutes here:

however, universal pictures australia have decided to print the sleeve double sided. the reverse of the sleeve will be a direct duplicate of the front cover, minus the ugly classification markings!:

there will also be several retailer exclusives. jb hi-fi will be selling the dvd with a slipcase that has joss' signature on it. sanity will include a bonus mouse pad with each dvd. ezydvd will be selling the dvd inside a metal tin. 6,000 slipcases and 7,000 tins will be available.:

I missed it and I really wanted to see it
I like the cover, but not the title's font.
I think that's what it has now. Cult status implies that a select group of individuals are fanatical about it, rather than the masses. I thought it was ok, but nowhere near as good as I was led to believe.
That cover is so much better than the R1 cover. This is such a awesome movie. I love it. I also think that this might gain some cult status in the future...
It warms my heart that you respect my opinion.
I hate this artwork, personally. Much prefer the R1.

Hardly... they used the theatrical poster art at least. The R1 looks awful in comparison.
But if you think it's terrible then that's cool. I respect your opinion.
Having said that, the R4 looks the best with the lack of quotes and rating logo. I used to ignore R4 discs but I hope that will no longer be the case.
