September 29th marks the HK region three release of Seven Swords, the eagerly awaited action epic from veteran filmmaker Tsui Hark. World cinema enthusiasts have the option of a special or limited edition. The film will be presented in a 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen format with Mandarin and Cantonese audio in Dolby Digital 5.1. Furthermore, optional English and Chinese subtitles will be provided. Supplementary materials include a making of featurette, "The Swords, The Swordsmen," "The Duel: Dragon VS Transience," trailer, clips of the premier, photo gallery and more. The limited edition will provide additional goodies, such as a set of sketches drawn by Tsui Hark and a deluxe digipak case. Seven sword masters gather together to save Bowei Fortress from the brutal force of the newly established Qing regime...

In the early 1600's, the Manchurians have assumed sovereignty and established the Ching Dynasty. A highly oppressive reign thus began. To fight against the brutality of the new government and save the innocent, seven unlikely heroes gathered together and became the Seven Swords. Each sword carries its own character - The Transience Sword, The Dragon Sword, The Heaven's Fall Sword, The Unlearn Sword, The Deity Sword, The Celestial Beam Sword and The Star Chasers Sword.
