Quote: The fun, the fashion, the friendship: Sex and the City 2 brings it all back and more as Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) come together to take another bite out of The Big Apple – and beyond – in a hilarious sequel. What happens after you say “I do?” Life is everything the ladies ever wished it would be, but it wouldn’t be Sex in the City if life didn’t hold a few more surprises. After all, sometimes you just have to get away with the girls.

The DVD and the digital copy is on the Blu-Ray...SWEET!
My girlfriend has already worried me to death about this, so it looks like I'll be making that reluctant day one Blu-ray purchase just for her... [*Le sigh*]

Not picking this up. The first one was funny and clever, this one was stereotypical and redundant.
I thought the first and second had its merit and flaws.
The first was great bc it was fresh to see the TV show in theatres BUT it was sorta depressing where we spent time with the main character feeling sad about her marriage.
The second was FUN bc it still had all the clothes and the ladies BUT it was out of NY (although the NY setting was missed) AND it was funnier. I laughed more in the second than the first. Part 2 was bottom line...FUN!

My wife loves the tv series which I've never watched. I was dragged to the first movie (only guy in the theater) and honestly, for a movie aimed at women, it wasn't horrible, I actually found it entertaining. I was also brought to the second and we both thought it was horrible. My only thought coming out of that was 'what a wonderful way to kill a franchise'. My wife refuses to purchase this DVD. Avoid this movie!!
The UK release is interesting. On BD you get the high def film, the film on DVD and a digital copy to boot. I've pre-ordered it for my girlfriend and if I've "borrowed" both blu-ray players and have them with me here in Newcastle, she can still watch it in London with the inclusion of the DVD in the set until I return to London permanently.
That's the only nice thing I have to say about this release.

I agree.
I agree.
I wanted to see it, but I will probably rent it. The first film wasn't half bad.
Personally can't wait for this. I loved the first one and this about equally. Although nothing will ever compare to the series. Wish there was an extended edition of this one, like there was for the first film. Hopefully, we'll see a double dip sometime in the future. This is one of the only films where I actually hope for a double dip.
Will get the combo pack first day. I like the cover art too.

I was actually a fan of the show, I thought it was clever at times, funny even for a male watching it, and you did care somewhat for the characters.
The movie really had none of those qualities, at all. I thought it was terrible.
And even women I know didn't like the sequel, I hope I never have to endure it.

The first one had some heart that outweighed its bad points (Hudson!), but this one was just bad.
It could be rigourously debated as to which would be marginably more preferable - discovering a lump whilst washing one's testicles in the shower or watching this film...

Awful movie. Even Alice Eve's cameo couldn't save it. That final montage with Kim Cattrall having sex on a Hummer while fireworks go off is as bad as it gets.
I dont know i was still entertained, despite the awful reviews. I think its that i cared enough about the characters. Yeh it was long, but i wasnt bored with it. I am not sure if i liked it better than the first or not. I still liked the first but the jennifer hudson character and the wedding blues kinda bogged it down. This one seemed to be more down to earth and relaxed.
The show was great. The first movie was not too bad. But the sequel is just blah.

Even the women in my office, who love the show, said this was a 2 1/2 hour turd.
Good point, it just ended at such a high point in the show with so many fates culminating in that last episode, it really feels like robbery.

This film is pretty much off of every man's "movies to watch" list. Now like one poster said, where's "Toy story 3"? I know the release date and that it's a (Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy set), but I wanna see the artwork and know what's included. What would be awesome is if all Toy Story Blu-rays were sold TOGETHER, now that would be awesome.
i really didnt mind the first one, but this one just..made me sick
Rather save my money for "Toy Story 3." Where's that one?
Going into this, I thought I would hate it. I've never seen the show or the movie, but I actually ended up liking it more than most people in the cinema.
I'll definitely pick it up.
I'll definitely pick it up.
Makes me mad this drivel is allowed to limp on in s**tty movies while Deadwood, a quality show, is left behind with no further expansion.
