The 2 disc cover art, is amazing.
I think the 2-Disc edition one is pretty fabulous
.
The cover of the 1-disc makes SJP's face look even more like a foot than normal.
I have no desire to see this movie, but I am glad that they've contrasted the covers between the 1-disc and 2-disc versions.
It seems more and more often that the studios basically make indentical covers, and simply slap a sticker to the 2-disc version.

The cover's bad, but at least they didn't just put SJP on it and leave all the other girls out like they did in the theatrical posters.

Hmm... I don't know if I like that artwork.
It could be worse, I guess.

Not a huge fan of the art
Oh ew at the cover art.
It burns!
sheesh, that artwork is god awful.
So, I'm looking at it this way: Warner Bros. is about tear apart what made New Line the way it is today. Without New Line, Austin Powers, Freddy Kreuger, John Waters, & the film universe of "Lord of the Rings" wouldn't exist. They were the founding fathers of college-targeted films. Now, one of the biggest studios in the world is about to turn it into a throwaway tampon. It's not right.
they are aimed to two different markets. you can't even compare the two.
i liked this http://www.movieposterdb.com/poster/05ef85f9 better.
also i hate the background of "the movie".

$150M Box office phenomenon? TDK made 8 million more on its opening week-end...
i like the covers because they feature all four girls unlike the one-sheets, but i hate that "the movie" is underneath the title. duh. the official title is "sex and the city" and not "sex and the city: the movie".

....and it felt like it too......
Loved the series, have them all in a limited edition DVD case however the movie was pointless, plodding and plain boring (and an extended edition coming!), I mean, how many montages of JSP getting dressed do we need?, one 20 second montage in an episode fine, however cut this out of the movie and it's run time would be an hour....

i loveeeee the covers
I think I'm going to pass. Otherwise I will let my sister watch it.
Not that big surprise they put SJP up front like that before "the other girls" '
I quite like the series itself, nothing spectacular, but the script was very well written - haven't seen the movie but might check out this BD anyway...just for fun!

LMAO
S'funny, I was at my boss' house last night, and I commented on this release to his fiancee. A really sweet girl, she is indeed a fan of the series and the movie, and while she didn't drag him off to see it at the theaters (and good for him, she was with her FIVE sisters, talk about an estrogen-overload), she actually looked hopefully to him, and said, "You hear that, honey? It's coming out in Blu-ray! You like Blu-ray" Oh, my lord...he gave me the coldest stare I've ever felt!

Hells yes. I can't wait for the 2 disc edition.
I loved this movie.

I'd rather spoon out my eyeballs and pour salt into the sockets than watch this s**t.

I probably haven't seen a movie with Kim Cattrall in it post-"Mannequin", and I most fondly remember her "Porky's" and "Big Trouble in Little China", both of which I re-watch quite often. Every time I think of Kim Cattrall I think of those two films, mostly, when she was so ripe she was falling off the tree. Seeing her aged frightens me, and seeing her aged in BD would probably be too much for me to handle. Ah, well.
I do find it amusing, however, when women refer to the show as "relevant" and a realistic portrayal of women, oblivious to the fact that it's largely written by gay men.
Wasn't it Selma Bouvier who wisely remarked "It's a show about four women who act like gay men!"

Great show and a great movie....but if you aren't a woman or a gay man it ain't for you.
Thats impossible, Ribbons. It's against the law of nature.
I thought this movie was great! Love the show and the movie. And I'm a hetero guy
As a big fan of the show, I was really disappointed with the movie.
damn this movie is long enough as it is, how much more are they going to add
TWO Movies from 2008 cracked my All Time list!!! This and My Blueberry Nights! AWESOME Flick! Esp if you were a fan of the show!
I loved the movie and will be buying the 2-Disc extended version.

Ditto.
Ditto is seconded.
On another note, I am gonna give this a rent just to see if it's as bad as I think it is.

No, no... the show was originally created and aired on HBO (and was distributed by Warner Home Video via HBO's DVD arm), and New Line Cinema bought the distribution rights for the movie before they were absorbed by Warner Brothers.
So, the WB has had a hand in distributing both the show and the movie... in different ways of course.
thanks!!
yeah, i remember it was on HBO... i was doubting on the studio... thanx

Talk about a major generalization. I don't even remember an orgasm joke in the movie, maybe a Botox one. It's actually quite a sad movie at times. Not just fluff.

for a movie that was a pretty big success, its pretty cheap on the extras.
