Fassbender's one of the best actors we had the chance to discover since Hunger (or, in my case, Inglourious Basterds, a year later). True to itself, the Academy missed yet another opportunity to nominate one who deserved it immensly... ah well, as long as the Academy stands, mistakes will be made it seems.
Shame on the academy for not nominating Fassbender.

You're so wrong. For one, she's adorable, and two, she's incredibly talented. She's superb in every role she does. I was blown away by her in An Education, and then again in Never Let Me Go, Drive, and Shame. She's even great in Wall Street 2. Easily one of my favorite actresses working today.
Anyway, Shame was great. It was robbed of at least acting nominations for Fassbender and Mulligan. Both were fantastic. Will purchase this. I dig the cover art too. Nice colors. It's not like they were ever going to use the theatrical poster. And to be honest I don't think they should. It was great for the theatrical poster and would have been great if it were a Criterion release, but the one they have now will attract more interest.
No, YOU are so wrong. 1. She's extremely unattractive. 2. She has ZERO talent in the field of acting. She should be off somewhere welcoming people to Walmart, and not getting paid to show her ugly face and lack of acting chops on the big screen.
are you an ex-boyfriend she dumped or something? chill the f**k out. weirdo

Y'know, you can't really argue over whether somebody's attractive. It's completely subjective--do you honestly think you're going to come to some type of empirical conclusion about whether or not people should be attracted to Carey Mulligan?

This film was SOOO over-rated! It had zero narrative drive and dragged like hell. I saw it at a preview screening with McQueen in attendence but I didn't bother hanging around because the film just didn't warrant further discussion. Poor! Not even Fassbender's impressive appendage could save it!

Psychosexual. Something tells me if they called the film Psychosexual instead of Shame it would have done better at the box office.
Average cover, as mentioned above I'm more interested in the hopefully inevitable Criterion release.

How's Narnia, back there?
Carey Mulligan is so friggin' ugly and a bad actress. How is she getting work?

Talk about snubbed
Well that cover isn't awful but nothing beats that great one sheet of...well bed sheets lol. I expect that to be used for a possibly eventual Criterion edition.
he's running to get that poon.
This cover makes it look like an action flick lol
I'd like an audio commentary by the members of the MPAA. That'd be something wicked.
Fassbender and McQueen commentary or bust.
I hope the title of the film won't qualify the possibly few special features as well...
