You're absolutely right. In fact, I knew the title of the B movie that this cover rip-offs from. It's called Blue Demon. The sad thing is, Blue Demon's cover is three times better than this one. Even the tagline is taken from Shark Attack (another B DTV movie)! I mean, how patethic this movie can be?
Wow... just looked up Blue Demon. That is uncanny!

Yeah I assumed their would be an unrated cut on disc. What the hell is the point of a shark cum slasher movie that promises bloody death a T&A with a PG-13 rating?
...please tell me you meant "chum" ? lol...
I had a feeling someone would point that out. It's the correct usage. Just think of it like when someone graduates "magna cum laude" from a University. Guttermind
Ahh, I see now. I just assumed with it being about Shark Night you would have meant "chum", but my assumption was wrong, lol.

Like the cover, but it does make it look like one of those straight-to-dvd creature features. How can people go to these movies and expect to be scared? These types of movies are so predictable. No way for me.
Stunned there isn't an Unrated release. This was just an all out letdown. I couldn't believe it when I saw the trailer. PG-13 so it can market to a teenage audience, and it still didn't make back its budget. Doesn't get much sadder than that.
why is there no 3D release when it was a 3D movie?
WOw i had no idea this was PG13 i assumed it was R and was waiting for the unrated blu... lame
I actually had fun with this one because it was clearly a "Well the rent is due next week!" movie for all the actors and it was fun.

None. It sure seemed like a lot of gore was cut from this one when I saw it. I can think of only one brief gore shot involving an arm, and seemingly every time something gruesome happened all you would see was the water turning red.

I don't know what you guys are smoking. Even saying this movie is just "ok", is still giving it way too much credit. This movie was abysmal. Awful, awful characters (you had every stereotype known to man, and they couldn't act their way out of a paper bag), horrible direction (it's shot like an MTV movie), and the pacing is so dull, the movie doesn't feel like 90 minutes, it feels double that. Now the story, I will admit, is sort of new since "someone" is putting the sharks there, but the idea is handled so unintelligently, that it wouldn't even matter.
Stay far, far, FAR away from this one. One of the WORST movies of the year. Too bad there isn't a Blu-ray 3D release for you guys. The 3D was actually pretty up to par.

That's alot of blood on that cover for a PG-13 movie.. which is why I avoided it at all costs.
I thought it was entertaining, and the cover art is great and better than the poster, IMO. I still wouldn't buy it unless it was $5 or something, but I would watch it again.
i actually love that cover... but this was meant to be horrible so il pass
I felt it took itself far too seriously. With such a crazy premise; it should have played a bit tongue in cheek and played as a dark comedy. But....too serious to be really enjoyed.
It was decent but at this point just wait for piranha 2, which got delayed but should be worth it.
The original poster art is way better, this one just looks same like the average shark movies...
But well, heard a lot bad stuffs about this movie, not going to buy it.

PG-13? Nahhh
this movie was ok. not great but worth renting. and why the F do they get rid of the amazing original poster and go with the abysmal, cringe-worthy cover art?!! who is in charge of these terrible dvd covers that are done today?!! who said, "yeah! this cover art looks great!"? they should be fired and never allowed near this line of work again.
This movie was so ridiculous, but it was very entertaining to watch, especially in 3D. Too bad there isn't a Blu-Ray 3D release.
