The retail price will be set at around $29.98. The film itself should be presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen along with English, French and Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks. Extras will include an audio commentary by Simon Pegg, a second commentary with Cast Members Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Dylan Moran, Kate Ashfield and Lucy Davis, casting tapes, extended bits, outtakes, the makeup tests, Simon Pegg's Video Diary, Edgar & Simon's Flip Chart, the theatrical trailer and more. i already have the R2 release, but i might get this one as well if it has different special features. The r2 release is packed with them!

I love this movie. It's one of the best films of the year, very funny, very cool.
Hopefully some nice video footage of Simon, Edgar and Nick's trip around the US has been caught on film for inclusion on the US DVD.

I love how these announcements always come just days after I gave in and imported the R2. So much for my assumption that the R1 would be stripped of yummy extras.

YES YES YES!!! So glad that the dvd is coming out before the end of the year. It's so far my favorite movie of the year.
OMG! That was pretty quick, I was expecting a next year release. Thank goodness, it's coming out to dvd in time for Xmas.
I also prefer this cover over the region 2. Now if only thay can bring out Spaced over here on DVD. My life would be complete.

...does that cover suck. The Rogue Pictures logo looks bad off to the side like that, and their massacre of the tagline is unforgivable. Hopefully they change it.
I definitely need to see SHAUN OF THE DEAD (great trailer for the movie) since it looks like it will not be coming to the local movie theaters.
I just saw it this past weekend so its definitely on my must buy list and just in time for Christmas too. 
M.A.P. is the lowest advertised price a store flyer can have like Best Buy or Target, Wal_mart etc.... Now if one of these stores decides to sell the film for under $19.95, then they have to advertise it as "LOW PRICE!"
i forget what MAP actually stands for, but thats its definition along the lines

The cover looks good
Hmm...
Well, on second thought, the cover doesn't look as bad as I thought initially, but I think they should:
- change the tagline back
- flop the title and pic so the title's on white -- looks better that way
- make the title white on the spine

This is shaping up to be a very nice looking DVD.
Same menus as the region two disc.
i really love tyhose menus, and i love the cover, its much nicer than the R2 imo
