Warner Home Video has announced DVD ($28.98) and Blu-ray/DVD Combo ($35.99) releases of Sherlock Holmes which stars Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law. Each will be available to own from the 30th March. As far as we know, the only extra material on the DVD release will be a Sherlock Holmes: Reinvented featurette. The Blu-ray/DVD Combo will include that, along with a WB Maximum Movie Mode (Director Guy Ritchie Walk On, PIP, Focus Points, Storyboard Comparisons, Still Gallery Timeline), deleted scenes, and a digital copy of the film. We've attached our first look at the DVD package artwork below:

This has been in theatres for barely a month! It's still playing on 2700 screens. Why do they do this?

Never saw it, but I'm slightly interested. Everyone, even my teacher, were going crazy about it before the release.
Maximum Movie Mode, sweet.

That was a fast release. Its still playing in most theaters around me.
I enjoyed the film, but unless there is some kind of exclusive (2-disc or Steelbook) I'll wait for a price drop on it. Downey Jr. though really was excellent as Holmes.
That was a quick announcement. I won't say I hated the movie, but they REALLY could've made it better. I'm a big Guy Ritchie fan and I walked out dissapointed.
I liked this a lot, and I love the Blu/DVD combos!
Might pass or wait till they release the whole story in one set.
If "Avatar" is going to be on hold for a long time, and they're already announcing December releases, it's time as well to hear an announcement for "Alvin and the Chipmunks 2."

Wow this release was faster than you can say "still in theaters". I never got around to seeing it, but will rent it. It looked decent by the trailers, but not something I'd spend more than five dollars on. Glad to see they kept the theatrical artwork.
Wow, Warner Brothers really had no problem with f**king over fans who haven't upgraded to BluRay yet.

I thought this felt like it was about an hour too long. and Robert Downey Jr. was the only good thing in it. Pass for me.

You're right, it must be my attention span. How else could one explain my deep love for Terrence Malick films.
I just thought this movie really lacked a pulse and was totally forgettable. And yet it is still the best flick Ritchie has put out since Snatch.

What are you whining about? All the Blu-ray owners have as extras are deleted scenes and a Maximum Movie Code. Usually, I'd see if the DVD was barebones and the Blu-ray would have a plethora of extras. But, this is not the case here.

Really enjoyed this film. Fantastic martial arts, edge of your seat suspense, entertaining storyline, great acting, soundtrack that matches the action and sexy Rachel McAdams. They also captured the industrial revolution perfectly! I want to visit London so bad. Well England in general.

this was a good movie. RDJ is brilliant, even though he plays a british version of Tony Stark. I really liked this movie though and i'll probably buy it at some point.
Wow so will get both DVD and a digital copy with the Blu-ray thats nice. I'll probably pick this up as I love Robert Downy.

I am with the boring crowd. This just didnt do much for me. I found it to be a tired movie. I dont quite know what it was but i was put off by it
Really just plain fun flick. Definitely worth revisiting.

Hmm, that seems pretty lacking in features.. Even for the BluRay crowd.. Could it be that they're holding on features for inevitable bluray double dips already??
I can see why this was announced so soon tho. A really great and clear dvd screener has been floating around for the last couple weeks now.

Okay film. Definitely worth a rental.
Don't get me wrong...I love Robert Downey Jr. Can't wait for "Iron Man 2."
