That doesn't make the movie any better, however.
Boy that was bad.
Only saving grace, the Little black dress

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't this a sequel to The Rocky Horror Picture Show? And weren't they also prepping a new special edition of that film as well?
PRAISE THE LORD!
This is a fantastic flick! Not a sequel, but an equal according to the creator. Man, I love this film. Can finally get rid of my bootleg.

And the U.K. only got a trailer! I cant' believe it, an American DVD that is superior to its European/Asian/Australian counterpart, when did THAT start to happen?
Try the first five years of the format's life.

Jessica Harper is in this? A Rocky Horror fan and I never even knew that. Must buy, now.

But aren't the main characters from Rocky Horror, Brad & Janet Majors, also the leads in this (albeit played by different people)?

Yes, Brad and Janet are back with different actors. Ralph Hapschatt is back (got married in Rocky Horror, is divorced in this one) and three other actors return for very similar roles. Oh, and the criminologist returns, but not as the same character.
I'd consider it a sequel if it was any kind of continuation of Rocky Horror, which it isn't. Aside from Brad and Janet, it's completley unrelated. For me it's just as good as Rocky Horror though.
I am so calling dibs on reviewing this title when it's released.

I have never seen this I can't waite.
So I couldn't wait, and went to an shabby video store in town that I knew would have a copy. Already watched it three times. A concept that IS much more relevant today. Great actors (Jessica Harper. Rik Mayall!). Music on par with Rocky Horror (maybe even better, but I couldn't help comparing).
No Boxset with RHPS?? >
That sucks.....they should at last re-release the 2-Disc Edition of RHPS with this in a boxset like the UK, I was hoping they'd do that since I missed out on the first time. (i don't want a c**ppy neutered DVD edition)

I dig the artwork...
Is the RHPS in the 2-pack going to be the OOP 2 disc edition? If so, then I'm in for a double dip.
These films I didnt like, just wasnt into it, not my taste, but I am happy for the collectors and fans of this film to get a release like this
Yes the OOP 2 disc of RHPS is in the set. I love these two movies. A must buy for me!

Well, Shock Treatment really IS a continuation of Rocky Horror in some ways. In Rocky, Brad proposes to Janet; in Shock Treatment, they are now married. So in that respect it is absolutely a continuation. Another day in the life of Brad and Janet, but now it is clearly after Rocky because they are married (and now Janet's the straonger one in the couple).
Also, as for the "it's an equal" quote, Yes he said that, but I wonder how much he really said that. Everything I've read just said that he said it at the premier of the movie, and it seems like he said it once and then everyone picked up on it and started saying that he said that. How many times did he call it a sequel though? I'm guessing more than once.
I'm not disagreeing that they are very different movies though, don't get me wrong. Rocky is MUCH more sexually perverse.
I'm a fan of them both.
And for those that don't know of it, you should search down the script for Revenge of the Old Queen. It was written by Richard O'Brien and it really does continue the Frank N. Furter story line.

Don't dream it. Be it.
Ya know, at first, I thought the front image above was just a badly compressed JPG, and not the way the actual cover would look. I was wrong. Has anyone seen this? It's all blurry and has JPG artifacts in it and such. Luckily the image and audio quality on the disc is great, but still, the cover is lacking. In fact, *I* even made a dvd cover 6 months ago that has a higher resolution front image!
