A tad overrated, in my opinion. Sure, it's great because it did not rely on boo scares to deliver the horror, but it was a bit draggy in the middle. It was atmospheric, but not really enough to make up for the draggy length.
I do have to agree that the videos of the families being killed were very disturbing. Especially how all the tapes' names suggest an "innocent" home video.

Loved the movie thought it was scary and gory at points.

Agreed, R rated horror is a huge hit or miss anymore. I was pleasantly surprised by this movie as it came in a bit under my radar.

I didn't like it, just didn't scare me. I was mostly bored by it. The scary face creature, bagul(sp?) was scary looking but the rest was just meh.
I thought this one was pretty good too. Not amazing, but creepy and disturbing enough. I was hoping it'd be a bit scarier, however. I must say though with the lack of good horror movies coming out recently, it was pretty refreshing to see it. However, I must say I think it fell apart in the final third- which is ironic because that was the same with Insidious (although I found that one much worse.)
I thought it was average at best. Another overhyped supernatural thriller just like PA3
Really like the cover art for this one never seen it but it's a buy for sure
This movie scared the c**p out me! It was damn awesome and well crafted! I'm glad to see that both the DVD & Blu Ray will seemingly have identical special features, and will include digital copy for my iPod. It's always nice to have some good movies for on-the-go.
I was surprised by this movie, it's actually very well done with a nice creepy vibe to it. The home movies are a little unsettling but not gory or exploitative and they overall add to that creepy vibe.. The ending is cool too.
I'd watch it again.
I'd watch it again.
i liked this movie! each family's death scenes were pretty disturbing and the unique to each film's music that plays during each film is amazing and adds to the unsettling feeling. very good movie. i'm glad they went with the theatrical poster/artwork. it's great!
