WOW that's some mental cover art. I've never heard of the film but that's some artwork.

The cover art is ported over from the theatrical one-sheet, but the trailer for it looked really, really awful. I doubt I'll see it... maybe when it's on TV.
I'll probably give it a rent. But I'm guessing that it won't be good. The trailer just didn't hook me in at all. Someone desperately needs to make a kick-ass werewolf movie. There hasn't been a good one since Dog Soldiers came out 5 years ago.
PG-13. Pass.
This was not a good film. Bad acting and bad story, and even Stan Winston's effects were very shoddy. The werewolves looked like the Geico Cavemen. I had high hopes for it, but they were dashed.
This made the director's previous movie "Jason X" look great by comparison. I should have known something was wrong when I found out it was shelved for two years.
Nice cover art, simple and to the point.
After Dark is, like, the greatest horror movie distributor ever.
Yeah. Can't you see how sarcastic that was? They even called HorrorYearbook.com the lamest horror movie website ever. I'm not really saying that because I am good friends with the people over there at HorrorYearbook, but because they used the word lame. That's also a very nice way to describe their movies.

I might rent this if it is unrated but no way I'm going to watch a PG-13 werewolf flick.. That just doesn't work. You can't make a good werewolf movie when you are limited in so many ways.. Plus After Dark have really not done a good job picking up quality titles lately.
cool cover. they'll probably double dip with the original version.
the movie was kinda bad. the plot was terrible, but at least they didn't do too much GCI.

If it's PG-13 I'll be really disappointed since there's supposedly an R rated version out there. Despite the reviews I kind of wanted to see this, since I really don't have any expectations for it.
If this isn't unrated I don't know what the studio is thinking. The movie bombed badly at the box office. I work at a movie theater and we had the movie for 1 week. I know there's an R rated cut out there too. Hell even on the reels for the movie it said "Skinwalkers (Recut)"
This movie was hilarious! It was easily the best comedy of 2007!
Wait... what do you mean, it wasn't supposed to be a comedy?

It's a rental from netflix for me.
The Theatrical poster drew me into the film(it rocked), but the trailer quickly sc**pped all of my expectations. I'm not gonna see this.
Never seen it but come on a PG-13 Werewolf movie, lame. Killer cover art though.
The cover would have been more suited for a vampire movie really.
I saw Skinwalkers and enjoyed the film. I have the feeling that a lot of the reviewers... especially in the traditional media... never really watched the film. Also have the notion that some stuff was intended to be funny zoomed right past a lot of peoples' heads. Lots of deliberate references to B western flics, etc., etc.
Also sort of find it bizarre that what was obviously intended to be a B werewolf movie... done mainly for the fun of it... has been criticized for being exactly what it was intended to be. And find it weird that a lot of people seem to think that After Dark was involved in the creation of the film. Skinwalkers is a Lionsgate film. After Dark only distributed it... in a haphazard manner... in my opinion.
The publicity for Skinwalkers basically sucked. Also, editing the film down to PG13 did definitely alienate alot of werewolf/horror fans. Will admit that I am hoping that the dvd will be the uncut version.

The R-rated cut is the version we got in Germany (awesome metal sleeve by the way). At least I believe so, because I don't think you would see a guy yank a knife into his own eye in a PG-13 movie. This version isn't very bloody. You get to see some bullet holes and stuff like that, but nothing really violent.
I love the cover. no clue on whether the movie will be good or not.
Did anyone see Skinwalkers during its theatrical run? Anyone at all?
I didn't think so.
I didn't think so.
Hey... as I said in my post... that it seems you didn't read... I saw Skinwalkers during it's theatrical run.
Has anyone seen both versions? Should I import the RRated or is the US DVD staying PG13?
I only wanted to see this movie for SARAH CARTER but she is starting to look like old pumpkin
'They Hunt Us'. (...) Worst. Tagline. Ever.
I read at www.fangoria.com that this will be the longer cut.
Skinwalkers. Even sounds cheesy. It took only 3 months. This sucked. I meant the movie and at the box office. Why do directors think that teens will actually fall for this. And speaking of tag lines. They try to make every horror movie have a scary tag line. It's so stupid.
Does anyone know the runtimes of the sperate cuts?
