hello u guys and gals i saw slither along time ago and it ias very good they should make Slither 2 coz at da end the cat gets poisened by da alien infection
Are the special features on the R4 DVD identical to the R1?
looks totally good, will own it first chance I get.
I loved Nathan Fillion in "Firefly" and "Serenity," and I loved what James Gunn did with "Dawn of the Dead," so I'll be disappointed if I don't love this, too. Especially since I didn't see it at the theater, and I'll probably buy the DVD sight unseen. A Halloween release, of course. What a long wait!

Looks like Image put out the laserdisc, so they might still own the rights for home distribution. Oddly enough, this seems to have been a TriStar production and I would guess that Sony now holds those rights. Whoever it is, I'd like to see Night of the Creeps eventually make it to DVD. I barely remember the movie, see it once in the late 80s on HBO.

This is coming out a month earlier in Australia. Too bad those horrible ratings logos have put me off of Aussie R4 discs.
I wanted this to do well, then maybe they might release Night Of The Creeps!
I think maybe this came out a the wrong time? people are not really jonesing for comedy horror at the mooment, they wan't grumesome gore flicks like Hostel and Hills Have Eyes. Lets hope it sells on dvd!

I think that artwork is kinda nice!
What the hell? Why is the standard DVD version getting the original HD art. This whomps!
That artwork is AWFUL!
I agree the artwork for the theaterical poster was much better.

I wish they would use it. Cause that was classy.

This was in and out of the theater before I got a chance to see it. Greatly looking forward to the HD DVD.
One of my top 5 of the year. Everytime something is updated for this movie it just makes me want it even more.

The studios thank you for that!

I wonder how much longer that nosense will continue. How will they push their next generation format in a few years if HD DVD is "perfect". . . . .
Why worry about what is next... Buy HD DVD and reval in great video and audio and shut the f-up.

Perfect release for halloween, though I wish Universal didn't withhold it for so long to fit the season, this and Kiss Kiss Bang Bagn were the two that kept annoying me in their long delays
Surprise surprise! I guess it still remains roughly the same though...
Revised HD DVD artwork added...
The trailer brought back memories of Night of the Creeps...that movie was funny as hell. Hope this is as good.
I like the HD artwork better.
Was anyone else out there hoping that this movie would be more or less "Captain Mal vs. The Space Slugs," since Nathan Fillion was in it? I'm kinda blanking, have there been any other really good campy horror comedies since Army of Darkness?
Umm, I don't know... I just don't like that cover art. I liked the theatrical poster art more.
Yeah, I really hope they change it for the standard release.
That artwork rocks!
Ew at that cover.
WOW!! That's a great cover! Hope the cover for the SD release is just as cool. I'm not a fan of the font used for the title though... what a pity.
The Region 4 DVDs Artowk is cool and features the one sheet.

that artwork is odd. even though its kinda fitting for the movie.
I don't like the artwork.
Here's to hoping the standard DVD comes with the original one-sheet.

This flick was an absolute blast. October 24 can't get here soon enough.
That's pretty cool art work. So, for the HD version, you get the regular DVD as well?
Artwork added for the HD DVD/DVD combo release. Still waiting on the standard DVD artwork.
Must buy for halloween
Loved this movie. Have been waiting for a while for this announcement.
Those who are expecting a straight horror movie, will likely be disappointed. This has as much comedy as horror. I loved it though, don't know exactly why. I'm not surprised that they waited until closer to Halloween to release the DVD.
I've been wondering when they'd release this. I found it to be pretty funny.
Now where is that unrated version, hmmm?
Oh and Fabricio, if you didn't shout all the time, I would expect you will get a better responce...

Well I will rent it and see if Slither can rise above Wolf Creek,Hostel,The Cave,King Kong 2005,Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, Frankenfish, Fear.com, The Grudge,The Ring, Ghost Ship, Williard, what else have I rented that was poo...oh yeah, the remake of the Fog...man I have seen some really modern day Shlock..
I did like Exorcism of Emily Rose,Exorcist the Beginning, Saw, as far as the modern horror film goes..
I do look foward to seeing Slither. If it is like Tremors I will like it, if it is a cross between Jackass the movie & any of the above horror films I didnt like, it will be a long 90-120 minutes...

As long as people realize that this is a horror comedy, you shouldn't be disappointed. It's pretty entertaining and gross.
There's no cover but the menus are out already???!!
You've got to be kidding me.
You've got to be kidding me.
Can't wait. I LOVED Slither.
Now, THIS is a DVD. Locked and loaded with lots of good stuff for the viewin'. Can't wait to pick this one up.
First "Saw" now this?

I'm in!
Those are some nice menus. That's also a nice set of special features. What is image 10? I hope we get to see the cover soon.

I heard this movie was GREAT, good horror/comedy, too bad it is an Oct release..... too long too wait
I've been waiting for this news since I saw it in March.

I can't wait for this. Has enough extras to make it a cult classic in time.
This was better than the averge horror flick. Had some really gross parts too. I'll rent it because I'd like to see it again.
Thats great news and I can see why they waited...It was alot of fun and I liked how it had other themes to it and made it more than just a forgettable horror filck. I'm hoping they use the movie poster too!
Elizabeth Banks is pretty hot, but it won't be enough for me to see this one.
im dying to see if the art work will be the movie poster??
Imagine that...Universal holding out and releasing a horror film that underachieved at the box office but will probably do well on DVD right around Halloween. Hmm...methinks that's the reason for the longer than normal wait fellas.
yeah!!
finally!!
the announcement is here!!!
man october 24!!! it's so far form today =(
im definatelly checking this one out!!

This was the most FUN horror film I've seen since the first Scream. Nathan Fillion needs to be in more movies! He was so funny in this.
My friends and I sat behind some people who mistakenly thought this would be a serious horror movie. Poor them.
We had an absolute blast, though.

I didn't see this in theaters, but I heard some good things, so I'll probably check it out.
(forgive my spelling)
Yesterday I was thinking on this movie, they took a lot of time in announcing the DVD.

I've been dying to see this for a while, unfortunately, it only played here for 2 weeks. I'll netflix it, and if I like it, I'll buy it.
It's about time.
This one looked like an amusing camp fest of a movie. I can't wait to see it!
I wonder why this took so long to release? Anyway, I loved it and do think it will develop a mass cult following.
$40 HD DVD?
yeah ill stick to regular dvds....
yeah ill stick to regular dvds....
This is the one with Worms & Slugs. I remember now...well since there was the movie Squirm (GOOD MOVIE!!) and the movie Slugs(BAD MOVIE!) I will have to rent it & pray I havent wasted time watching it or money renting it....
Ive never seen this one, but I will rent it first. This is the one with snakes right ? Probobly it will be another c**ppy new wave horror flick like many I have seen before with no-name actors, characters I dont care about, stupid situations, superfast edits ala Saw, etc.
That being said, I hope the monsters are cool. Monsters can save a film for me on occasion(The Gate)..

I had a chance to go but my friends dragged me to "Lucky Number Slevin" instead. They no longer are my friends.
Wow, this took forever. I cant wait to check this out.
This movie was awesome! It's about time this release was announced.
Yeah. This movie was a ton of fun and will probably find a cult following on video ... which it deserves. Glad to hear they finally have set a release date.
Me and my friend were actually the only people in the theater seeing this. Shame. It was a great movie.
best enjoyed with a crowd
Slugs in a Tub!!!
Not a bad flick. It will not get any awards for originality, but it was a fun watch, and I will be picking it up to watch it again. Fun movie.

It'll make plenty of money on DVD, no worries there.
Good fun flick.
Good fun flick.
This was a great movie, but sadly it didn't make much at the box office.
A list of suggested bonus material can be found here. It's the director's Myspace page, so it's a pretty reliable source.
Well, it's about time they release this. I have been waiting a long time for this.
