Quote: Federal agents once again match wits with a cadre of creative killers in the high-octane feature-length film Smokin’ Aces 2: Assassins’ Ball. Walter Weed (Tom Berenger) is an unassuming desk jockey at the FBI when the Bureau uncovers a plot to assassinate him. A team of degenerate, psychotic assassins dispatched by mystery man Hal Leuco to win a huge bounty includes a resourceful beauty who has a unique method of killing her prey (Martha Higareda), a power-tool wielding psychopath (Vinnie Jones) and a deadly master of disguise (Tommy Flanagan). Also in the hunt is the fan-favorite Tremor family from the original film, featuring nymphomaniacal gun-nut (Autumn Reeser) and her lethal kinfolk (Maury Sterling, Michael Parks and C. Ernst Harth). Baker (Clayne Crawford), the agent in charge of the operation, puts himself and his team in the line of fire to defend Weed, but it’s not until the smoke clears on the film’s explosive climax that the surprising identity of the plot’s mastermind is revealed.

sounds ok. will give it a rent.
LOVED the first one. I think I'll actually check this out. I don't normally get around to the direct to DVD releases.
saw the trailer, it looks like it was shot on video and not in a good way. that always takes away from a movie. but that guy on the top left of the cover with the goggles, i guess he's playing Pine's role from the original since this takes place before it?
Pass.
The trailer actually looks pretty decent. Will buy both of them.
Give it a rent.
i really enjoyed smokin aces but a direct to dvd sequel is worth a rent
still haven't seen the first one. wonder what film will get a direct-to-DVD sequel next
So, you're saying the first Smokin Aces will finally be blu released? Awesomeness. Def. getting that, and, probably this, too.
Watched the first one while hooked up to an apheresis machine at the hospital. Pretty good. Tiny screen though.
Not a fan of the first one - definitely won't be bothering with the DTV second.
I didn't realize that Smokin Aces was such a hit that people were begging for a sequel, let alone a DTV sequel.
The cover is quite cool.
The first film was a disgusting mess - and I say those words as separate problems. It was gross to watch, with gross characters, and a sloppy film unto itself.
That said, I wonder if this film will be better. Vinnie Jones is one reason to try it.

I'm bummed for Vinnie Jones lately. He's a cool character actor who never quite got his due, as a lead, in a good movie. Could be a great anti-hero in something like the Punisher: War Zone instead of dtv sequels and knock offs. Too bad.
Cripes - I thought this one was still filming.
Loved the first one so I will give this a go

An unnecessary sequel to an unnecessary original. Pass, pass.
Autumn Reeser? From Entourage and C&C Red Alert 3? Sold!
I guess they knew this would suck when they released it as a direct-to-DVD
