This has made it to our bargain theater. Will give it a look for .50 cents. If I don't like it, will only be out .50 cents, not too bad.
Samuel Jackson commentary... Man, I am so there.
Those menus look like the R2 cover fro Crank.
Can't wait for the sequel "Snakes on a train" or "Snakes in congress" - oh, wait...

Whats with the 2 different special feature menu's?

Im happy that New Line Home Entertainment is releasing "Snakes on a Plane" on DVD. They really know how to please fans. I'm really excited that its going to be a New Line Platinum Series release, that means the extras will be quailty and what the films deserve. I cant believe we have to wait until January to buy it! Ughhhh
by the way, I saw the film twice in theatres, has anyone else seen it more than once?

Aw, How come the fullscreen gets the benefiet of the better artwork? If anything full screen should get the worser (i know, its not a word) of the two. Why do they even bother with fullscreen? The only people who buy it are grandparents who don't know the difference, but its not even their fault, they wouldn't have to know about that if the studios just stopped with the bloody full screen! Sorry about the rant, but full screen is an injustice to directors everywhere, even if their movies are bad (this movie isn't, but I mean in general).
Wow - some specs for a movie really only meant to be c-grade...
Samuel L. commentary, DTS-ES, AND the music video! It's a fairy tale!
Didn't see this in theaters because I hated the overhype. Might see this when it's released on DVD.
Hell yes! The Samuel L Jackson commentary is something to look forward to!
Highres artwork added...
Wow, this looks like a real packed dvd.
I love New Line! Their DVD;s are great, look at A nightmare on Elm Street's re-release, great DVD. I'm glad this has DTS also, nice features too. I'll but it.
How does New Line get to be so cool? They get to release adequate special features and not to mention DTS 6.1 on most or all of their new dvd releases! What other studio offers DTS 6.1 on their DVD's? One or none!
NLC rocks!
NLC rocks!
Extras are ok, I'm very surprised no audience (Sin City esque) commentary isn't included, it would have been very exciting. Also, that song to this movie has got to be one of the most worst "movie" songs ever, it was whiney and just plain iritating.
DTS-ES! Thats What I'm Talking About.
I thought it was kinda cool that the whole music video for the movie played during the credits, I can't remember any other movie doing that.
Im so getting this and the spinoff "Snakes on David Blaine"
if they wanted money they should have released this before 25th December
"Snakes on a Train" has already happened... look it up on IMDb. This quick, z-grade, DTV movie was made to cash in on the whole "Snakes on a..." thing. F*cking also-rans...

Nah, I'm waiting for the spinoff movies, like "Squirrels on a Plane" or "Cats on a Plane".

Sam Jackson commentary! Woot!
If only the audience reaction one was made...but oh well. Still f**king sweet.

I'm so buying this. The DTS and the special features sound freaking awesome.

Am I the only one hoping for a film that was bad however not so referential to the point that it turned into a comedy? This movie is no B-movie it's more so a comedy parodying B-movies...very dissapointing.
It was everything I had hoped it to be. I am definately getting this one.
This movie was a really awful, cliche filled but really fun B movie. It wouldn't have been half as good without Samuel L. Jackson in it though. I look forward to seeing it again on DVD.
Cult clasic?! I don't know. I have to see it to believe if it is one or not.
This was one of the best theatre crowd experiences I ever had...the only other being star wars midinght shows...I wonder how much fun it'll be on dvd? Either way I liked it and intend to own it.
This was a great movie. It was also an awful movie, but still, I'll pick it up.
This movie was awful and not in the good way it was suppose to be.
I think the film ended up grossing a little over 30 million. IMO, too much for this to be considered a "cult" movie and definitely low enough to be considered a failure at the BO given all the hype it had.
A cult movie is by design something that only a small group of people get into and then over time (years not days/weeks in this case) a fan base is built up. This film was dubbed a cult film by the marketing execs right out of the gate. Sorry, but having people scream at the screen and people on the net calling it a cult film doesn't make it one. Texas Chainsaw, Rocky Horror, those films are true cult classics. This film is nothing more than A-list Hollywood selling it as a B-movie to a gullable public.

"I want these f**king snakes off of this f**king plane!"
To the SOAP Fans,
What happened? Something that had so much potential grossed so awfully at the BO. I gotta rent this.

This film was awesome, so much fun ! Can't wait to see it again.
I'll add it, but I do agree it needs a Sam Jackson commentary.
Obviously those of you that rate this film your best movie experience never attended Rocky Horror Picture Show at its peak. At least that film earned its cult status, not like Snakes which was SOLD as a cult classic from day one.
And like RHPS, this film is only going to be fun if you have a load of friends over for a watching party.

I imagine that if I get really drunk or stoned, I might really enjoy this!
This was sooo fun. I cant wait to get this!
This was a fun movie that knew what it was, and it worked. The coverart is great, I'm glad they went with that poster, and I will be picking it up.
Ill give this a rental. I dont think it warrants anymore money then that, but it does look fun.
Got to get this- loved it. SonAP is pure popcorn cinema. I'll grab the black, collectible...Card-O...O-card thing(?).
This movie has got to be the most entertaining movie experience I have ever had (the 10:00 showing the night before). Not only were many of the fans overenthusiastic and nutty, but many people were standing up and shouting similiar things. When Samuel "The Man" Jackson said the immortal line- "I've had it with these......yadda yadda yadda" the whole theatre jumped for joy. Movie wise, I can't imagine that this will ever be the same watching it alone, but it did have some very interesting kills and a nice popcorn B flick vibe to it. I'll pick it up and look forward to watching it in small groups. Box office wise, I am not too shocked at the results but I think it could have done a little better (what with shlock like the Covenant being popular at the box office these days). I think this will be one of those movies people will snatch up on dvd.... I really hope they include a theater reaction track (like the Director's cut Sin City dvd), now THAT would be incredible! (Are you listening New Line?!) Please!!!!
This movie rocked! One of the best of the year. Had an absolute blast watching this in a packed theater. Can't wait for the DVD.
Snakes on a ZOMG....
In all honesty though, didn't see this and didn't really feel the need to.

seriously. I went to a 10PM screening and it was the most fun I've had at a movie since "The Aristocrats"

This film is a little way overhyped on the internet to say the least. I have never seen it, but have never been one to judge a film based on poor box office results, that being said, I will probably only give this a rent first, if I like it of course I will buy.

Fun movie! I'll pick it up for sure.
Fun movie & awesome cover!!!Hope it stays like that...
The film barely broke even at the box office, and it's slapped with a cult classic moniker? Talk about over-hyped internet exposure...
i've heard good and bad things about this!!
i'll be picking it up anyways!! I always DO :S

Boy, that was really bad.... I can't understand how this is still touted a "cult movie"...
I like the packaging! But I am pissed that they're waiting until January.

I can't wait for this to come out but even though it bombed at the box office, for some reason I have a bad feeling somewhere down the line a special edition doubledip will come out, especially since it will probably sell very well on DVD.
This film was in and out of theaters quicker than you can say "overhyped internet film". Prime example of folks being whipped into a frenzy by clever marketing for a movie that otherwise would have been direct to video. Waiting for it to hit our discount movie house and catch it on .50 night.
Even though this movie looks idiotic with a nonsense script, I still want to see for the fun of it.
I can ONLY imagine owning this! This movie was too much fun. I mean, it's no Ridley Scott's "Blade Runner", but it isn't "From Justin To Kelly"-bad. It's quite entertaining, especially when watched with a good crowd.
It will be mine... oh, yes. It will be mine.

I hope there's a commentary...maybe an audience reaction one (which I doubt since they probably didn't expect the reaction to be worth recording).I think an O-Card is just a slipcover.

seems to me this didn't do so hot at the theaters. its fire went out pretty quick, after all the hype. I'm not a big fan, or a fan at all I guess, of these kinds of films, but I wlil probably rent it at least. It seems to be a one trick pony, I can't imagine owning the dvd. oh well, to each his own.
Quote: The full specs have yet to be revealed I'm afraid, although we can confirm that extras will include a gag reel.
Isn't this whole movie a gag reel?

I'm buying but their has to be commentary or it's just pointless cause it will be on some kind of SE
I want these motherfu*king snakes on my motherfuc*king plane

Can't wait. I'll definitely be buying this.
Wow, pretty sweet simple (and the theatrical poster!) cover art! Didn't see it, way too much hype around it. Will most defenitly rent this one.
Haha, when I saw it everyone said the line with him, and it was followed by PLENTY of cheering. Best theatre experience ever.
The most fun I had in a theater! Wonderful! I'll be definately picking this one up!
I've had it with these muthafu*kin snakes on this muthafu*kin plane!
I've had it with these muthafu*kin snakes on this muthafu*kin plane!
That makes me think, the last time I went to a movie where the crowd clapped when it was over was Jurassic Park 3...
can you say strong audience reaction. the place went nuts when the snake jumped on the man's pecker. but oddly enough the line "I want these MF snakes, of my MF plane" got no applause what so ever.
This was great. I only went in to see it so I could say 'hey I saw Snakes on a Plane', and for Sam Jackson, but it was really fun. Great cover art too, I was hoping that they would use the knock-off of the Caduceus and I'm glad they did, rather than a cheesy cover like every film has these days. A def buy for me.
I've heard alot about this movie....maybe I'll buy it because of Sam Jackson....
There has gotta be a Samuel L. Jackson commentary on this! He was pretty much the whole reason I watched this flick.
