i think the cover art is pretty decent. i enjoyed the movie but i DO agree w/ Kyle Mertes that the pacing was a bit off. i'm apparently one of the few who liked Kristen Stewart in this (i loved her as my idol Joan Jett in THE RUNAWAYS too). from what i understand (i read it on another site) this cut adds 4 minutes of new footage. for some reason i doubt 4 minutes is going to mean very much but i'm looking forward to seeing the movie again. Charlize was awesome as usual! i DO wish some scenes shown in the trailers were in the actual movie (most notably, when the Queen is looking in the mirror and she's screaming and the mirror shatters). maybe this footage is what's restored?
I hated this c**p but I did notice a good number of scenes cut out from the trailers. It'd be interesting if those were included HOWEVER I dont think I'd have the patience to sit through this boring film again. It did nothing for me. Charlize was the only good thing about it.
Not sure on this one yet to be honest
The first half of the movie was great. The introduction of the "Huntsman" was done well. The dwarves and the other various creatures of the forest (Moss Turtles!!!) were visually stunning. But everything that followed was simply generic. You could sleep through the last half of the movie and still know every little detail that happened. I've never seen any of the "Twilight" movies, but I wonder if Kristen Stewart actually talked in those films. Kurt Russell in "Soldier" had more lines than she does here.
Enjoyed it in the theater but not enough to add to my DVD/Blu-ray collection.
Much like Prometheus, Charlize Theron was one of the best things of the movie. She made this move.
All style no substance, Kristen Stewart looked like she was going to fall asleep half the time and Charlize Theron was way over the top. The effects looked cool but it's an empty film with no heart, directed by a guy who makes commercials.... go figure!
Theron and Hemsworth are the best things in this movie, Stewart was the weakest link. Four minutes of additional footage isn't going to fix the film's flaws. I wish they quite labeling a few extra minutes of footage as an extended cut. I consider an extended cut to add something like 20 minutes or more and just a few minutes.
I liked the film. Decent story, decent action, decent ending. They had a sequel green lit in the second week of release, so it's obvious the studio felt they had a winner.
You know a fairy tale movie is good, when you male friends tell you, "Not Bad".

I agree with this 100%. I was baffled as to how that awful Twilight creature was cast as Snow White, then the "scandal" came out and everything made sense. She being "fairer" than Charlize, even in a fantasy film, is LAUGHABLE!

Stewart was the best. Theron overacted how anyone can't see that here ismind bogling. Its just so easy to hate on Steart and jump on to the witch hunt
even if she truly was the best in this one even spoke with english accent

I tried so hard to like this movie, but I just couldn't. After a strong set-up, the movie just got bogged down with its pacing and was downright boring in the middle. The end fight sequence was rather anti-climactic, as well. A different actress for Snow White would have made this better, but it needed some trimming, too. I'd be interested in seeing what this new cut has to offer, but I will not be buying this.
