Quote: Written and directed by Academy Award® winner Sofia Coppola, Somewhere stars Stephen Dorff (Public Enemies), Elle Fanning (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), and Chris Pontius (Jackass) in an affecting and witty story about celebrity and parenting. You’ve probably seen actor Johnny Marco (Dorff) in the tabloids or in his Ferrari, driving around. He’s comfortably numb with women and pills, drifting along. Then, his 11-year-old daughter Cleo (Fanning) arrives unexpectedly to stay with him in his suite at Hollywood’s legendary Chateau Marmont hotel – and with her encouragement, Johnny faces up to where he is in life.

Been putting this one off. It looks like Coppola is back in Lost in Translation mode, in terms of style, so I'll probably dig the movie. I doubt it'll touch that classic though.

This was right up there with one of my most favorite films last year. A very lonely, yet very touching film. Both Stephen Dorff and Elle Fanning gave a very heartfelt performances.
Most pretentious movie you'll ever see, great if you're having trouble sleeping.
I LOVED Lost in Translation by the way.

I saw this and I was bored outta my skull. Dorff gives a wonderful performance, however it's hampered by scenes that drag on for way too long, poor pacing and lack of an overall story. It's a collection of some really nice scenes, but lots of filler.
