Southland (US - DVD R1)
Warner reveals the artwork for the 1st season which will arrive January 26th

Synopsis
Quote: Michael Cudlitz ("A River Runs Through It") plays John Cooper a seasoned Los Angeles cop, assigned to train young rookie Ben Sherman (Benjamin McKenzie, "The O.C."). Cooper's honest, no-nonsense approach to the job leaves Sherman questioning whether or not he has what it takes to become a police officer. Cudlitz and McKenzie are joined by cast members Regina King ("Ray," "Jerry Maguire") who plays Detective Lydia Adams. Adams lives with and is the primary caregiver of her mother. Her partner, Detective Russell Clarke (Tom Everett Scott, "Boiler Room") is an unhappily married father of three. Michael McGrady ("The Thin Red Line") plays Detective Daniel "Sal" Salinger. Sal oversees fellow gang detectives Nate Moretta (Kevin Alejandro, "Drive," "Ugly Betty") and Sammy Bryant (Shawn Hatosy, "Alpha Dog"). Arija Bareikis ("Crossing Jordan") plays patrol officer Chickie Brown, a single mom who dreams of being the first woman accepted into SWAT.

I LOVE this show! I was so glad to hear it was picked up by TNT after NBC wrongly canceled it (before the new season could even air, no less!) Can't wait to rewatch the first season in time for season 2!

What the hell is this a Cops take off?
This was a pretty decent cop drama, but shouldn't the cover say "Complete Series"? I thought NBC totally canned this show, or is it coming back as a mid-season replacement?
Edit: Oh never mind. Reading is fundamental. Should have read the first post...

For some reason I like that coverart and I don't know why. I probably won't check this out though - after the show got canceled that one actor was a complete prick!
Everyone should give this show a chance, it had a great storyline, a gritty feel, and imo was pretty decent, thanks to Jay Leno killing primetime TV. Props to TNT for picking this back up and airing the unaired eps.
I think Warner Bros should have waited and added the 6 season 2 episodes before releasing this. Seems like a waste to release only 7 episodes. But, I guess it makes sense considering episode 7 ends on a cliffhanger.
I assume with the "Uncensored" tag, all the bleeping will be removed.
stevepulaski: I assume TV programming in your neck of the woods is very limited. Seems like you have never heard of most new American TV shows.

IIRC the first season is being re-edited at the moment, and extended by 10 or so minutes each. This could be those extended cuts...

Another series we haven't seen down under.....
Maybe we might with the new digital channels on offer...

So bummed they canceled this series. Great show and one gnarly season finale.
