BBC Worldwide hold the rights to a lot of shows commissioned by ITV and Channel 4, it's given to them by the production companies who own them.

The original dvd was not BBC though, as stated in the news at the top of the page.

Oh, I see what you mean, yeah should say VCI. I'll change that.

I think the only reason this is getting a release is because of the fan base Hot Fuzz has in the US that people who see the same guy will buy it
Tarantino? F**k off!
Maybe I'll buy this one if I can get it for cheap for the commentaries. I have the R2 release but....ya know, ya can't have enough Spaced. Besides a lot of my friends don't have all-region players, and I've been wanting to show them this forever!
Funny. I actually bought the R2 Spaced about four or five days before the R1 was originally announced a while back. No regrets, though, it only came to about $21 USD with the exchange. Ordered it back when I ordered the R2 of "Run Fatboy Run" and "Howard the Duck" as well. God bless region-free players. Don't think I'll be picking this one up, though. Don't know that the commentary track and the reunion Q&A are worth $25, let alone $50.

I can't say I like the idea of Tarantino approved product either but they are good friends; Edgar stayed at his place while he was living in L.A. Still don't like it as a stamp of approval though.
I much rather prefer the R2 Special Edition cover to this.

Perhaps someone will Youtube the on stage reunion for download.
I have the R2 which is fine. It has the bette cover by far. No need to change up. I do love this series and the guys who made it. Totally hilarious.
MY R2 is just fine and was half the price.
Tarantino: "You want to see effective homage and parody? Well don't watch the overblown garbage that is Kill Bill - watch Spaced!"
Now THAT would have been a better tagline.

I bought the 3-disc collector's set off of ebay a long time ago, but couldn't share it with friends, 'cause none of them had hackable DVD players. Thanks to Edgar and company, I will be able to now! Besides... a little of my money thrown towards more stuff like this is always worth it.
