Um...because not everyone is hugely rich and can afford a surround system ?

I've livedmin Jackson Mississippi and right grind my house we have woods and what not. Not country but just woods and sometimes that can play a role. Don't get me wrong there were times when I just wanted to be left alone but sometimes it's fun in a big group. Of course no matter how realistic they try to be, friends in the movies are always cooler than in real life.
I was born in Pontiac Michigan, but I lived in a small town called Oxford, which was only slightly more advanced than Mayberry. When I was six, I moved to Independence, Missouri. Which, in the area I lived in, could really remind you of In The Heat Of The Night....only with less expensive houses. I did play in the sewer once. TMNT was huge at the time and an area near where I lived had this cool sewer area that was just like where the turtles lived in the first movie and was a lot like the sewer playset. Definately hurt my head lifting up the manhole cover ! This was all by myself, by the way.

Where did you hear it wasn't lossless? I don't believe Sony has put out a Blu-Ray yet that did not have lossless audio.
They've put out at least three that I know of.

This is a decent movie, but it tends to be overpraised based on the audience's nostalgia. It's also re-issued every year, it seems.

I mean yeh it's a slower film but I wasn't too bored with it. I didn't love it like many but it entertained me
What kind of kid didn't want play in the woods all day ? Me, for one. I never saw the appeal. I guess if you had friends, which I didn't and still don't, it might have been fun. I just don't get it.

I'm not saying it's a bad movie, but I just don't get why so many people love this movie. It's so boring.
Kuhn yeh I remember now, thanx
Seen this on TV along time ago. Don't even remember it, but I'll have to watch it again on Netflix before I make the decision to purchase it.
John Cusack was the older brother of the kid telling the story. He has died by the time the film opens...
Who was John cusak In this? I 4 get and this is a great film but yen its one of those I could watch on tv instead of buying
the kind of movie i'd always watch when it was on tv, but never got around to purchasing
