WOW!
I'm so glad I'm not a fan, LOL.
That looks amazing, though.

U-G-L-Y You ain't got no alibi, you ugly! Yeah yeah, you ugly, whoo! It'd be prettier if it were cheaper. AHEM!
yeah paramount's pricing makes no sense....500$ for 7 seasons when a complete series like buffy with the same amount of seasons is under 200.....and then there's Mash, i think they had 11 seasons and its also under 200
Paramount's pricing is one of the reasons why I haven't picked up the ENT sets yet. Hell, bought all of VOY off Ebay for an average of $70 per season.
WHY!!!!!!!
Damn it.
Damn it.
I like that packaging. Too bad that only one quarter of seven seasons is interesting in the slightest. I'd never buy this... I have the Borg fan set and that's good enough for me.
I love Next Generation and am so glad I waited to get it. Even though the price is still a bit high, the new sleeker packaging certainly saves space. Now all I need is more cash lol.
Maybe someday but syndication is fine for now on all the Star Trek incarnations. Yet, I'd buy the original series remastered except that it's HD but maybe someday on that as well. This packaging looks pretty good but not great. I know it's on the drawing board or of at least thought of but someday they should do an ULTIMATE set will EVERYTHING Star Trek. From the original series, animated, TNG, DS9, Voyager, Enterprise and ALL the movies in one HUGE BOX. It would cost a mint but would be worth it to have it all in one HUGE BOX. Just a thought.
I like it, but I'm not interested in shelling out hundreds of pounds to collect the TV series. I've got the 10 SCE movies and that's enough for me.
That disc art is for the European market or it's some kind of mess up.
Yes, appear to be Region 2 packing!
I agreed, the packing appear to be Region 2 as there's the big R2 label on the disc! Jewel case again? Hope it won't crack on arrival!
Just bought the slimline edition of ST:TNG awhile ago on Amazon UK, mostly 50% discount! Don't think the extra bonus disc will make much different!
Thought the Slimline Edition packaging is the best! Nice and secure as compare to the jewel case which crack easily! Also more uniform look compare to those ridiculous big Collector's Edition Box! Also bought most of STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE, left season 1 which constantly out of stock!
Just for everyone info! AMAZON also just release info of STAR TREK: VOYAGER slimline edition for release in 10/09/2007! Check it out if you are interested!

What would have been nice if they would have housed the DVDs in the saucer section of the Enterprise D, or perhaps the Borg cube.
Still don't own any of the Star Trek series on DVD and even this is too expensive for me.

Marvelous packaging...if only I was a fan...
It's so....green.
looks pretty nice, but they screwed this up by charging almost the same for a series set as they do for the seasons.
Even HBO, I calculated, would charge less than this. This is ridiculous.

I'm a big fan of the show and I really wanted to get these, but they are just way too expensive! Even at around $350 bucks with a normal retail discount, it's still over 50 bucks per season.

Still bloody expensive and any real Star Trek fan would have this already in the single season packs

So I'm not a "real" Star Trek fan because I don't?
I only got the TOS boxes...

The remastered HD original Trek is a flipper with a standard dvd side to it.

Hey paramount, take your ST pricing and shove it "up your shaft"
Should be $180, TOPS.
Should be $180, TOPS.
I own some od TNG on dvd. So i guess i will be skipping this one, but they should have done this in the first place...Now lower the other seasons Paramount
Well, there most likely won't be a HD version of these, considering the original masters on video so SD is as good as they'll ever look.
Unless they go back to the vault elements and re-do ALL the SFX (I understand only the live action scenes were shot on film), maybe then...
