Paramount has sent over artwork for the third season of Star Trek: The Original Series which stars the likes of Bill Shatner, Leaonard Nimoy, DeForest Kelley and James Doohan. The third season will be available to own from the 14th December this year, and should set you back around $100 in total. I'm afraid that Paramount has yet to release details on the disc specs for this one, but we'll let you know as soon as we hear anything. For now though, here's our first look at the official region one package artwork:

Brain, Brain, What is Brain?
Spock's Brain on DVD. I HOPE this is one of the episodes they do a popup video text commentary on.
Star Trek did Weekend at Bernie's a long time before it was made into a movie!

I still don't understand how they can justify charging $100 for each season. I can't even begin to fathom who pays that much for one season, must be all those trekkies out there.
More like the hardcore fans...
...who must have everything Trek.
I'm a Star Trek fan, and have all 10 movies on VHS or DVD or both (even the reviled Final Frontier and widely-criticized-as-derivative Nemesis). But I cannot justify spending $90 and upwards for a season set of ANY tv show, especially when other genre shows are going for $50-$70 per season new.
And some of Paramount's other TV show offerings are reasonably priced (for example Happy Days, season 1 around $40 SRP).
The Mountain is simply taking advantage of Trek fans here, IMHO.

Although season 3 has so many god-aweful episodes its hard to swallow getting this. Then again Spocks Brain and Turnabout Intruder are so bad that it makes for a sidebusting good laugh.
