wow imagine how bad Enterprise would be without her then?
Ew, she reminds me of Mia Farrow... *gag*

Paul Verhoeven was the driving force behind ST1's guilty pleasure success. No one has the same sense of style and gusto that he does, but Ed Neumeier wrote the first Robocop and ST movies, so I have moderate to guardedly high hopes that ST3 might be a pretty decent time waster. I have not seen ST2 but from what I've heard, I'm not missing much. Except some nudity. Which ain't all bad. Hello Netflix!
Predictably this turned out to be c**p. The trailer makes it look a lot better than it actually is. Better than two, but nowhere near the quality of the first. It does have some utterly gratuitous nudity if that's your thing.
Highres artwork added for the standard DVD
I may go for this, ive not seen #2, but #1 was entertaining in it's own way.
LOL, they got Boris Kodjoe onboard for this?? Well, I guess that takes care of the 18-49 black female demographic......

It's the 80 million budget and Paul Verhoeven that aren't :/
As ridiculous as it was, I always thought the first film was awesome. "Army of Darkness" type awesome. I might give this a try, I skipped the second.

Touché, Snowman from the 08. To answer your question as if you weren't being rhetorical, yes, Enterprise would have been much weaker without her.
In addition to making Enterprise stronger, Blalock is a hero to Star Trek fans for speaking out against Rick Berman and the powers that be for killing Trek while Enterprise aired. She had the you-know-what to take a stand, while on the inside nonetheless, perhaps even risking her job.
Now, thankfully, Rick Berman is GONE and hopefully JJ and his crew can resurrect Trek and put it back on the map.

At least they went with the better title "Starship Troopers 3: Marauder" as opposed to the working titles, "Starship Troopers 3: Casper Van Dien's attempt to postpone bankruptcy" and "Starship Troopers 3: NPH and Jake Busey won't return Casper Van Dien's phone calls"
Jolene Blalock is hot! Sign me up!!
I hope this is as good as the first

I hate to admit it, but I'm gonna have to check this out. I loved the first one, complete B-movie c**p but it's a guilty pleasure. This one looks to be more of the same.
Yeah he second one was not that great but was ok for a time killer. I look forward to seeing the new one tho, hoping they make it at least fun to watch.
I'm looking forward to this, although I like the darker, less colorful artwork better than what they're using. Nice that they've packed it with features.
Additionally, I liked the second movie. It's nice they didn't try to just remake the first and instead went with a different plotline. The nudity and gory special effects helped a lot too. You could tell those involved cared about what they were doing, even if they didn't have as much money as the original. All in all a decent sequel. I'd say give it a rental if you haven't seen it.

"Using the new technology Rico and his crack squad defeat the arachnids on the distant planet know only as OM-1 and, in turn, help save his fellow soldiers from death at the hands a treasonous element operating within Federation itself."
Like anyone actually gives a s**t. Personally I would have hoped for a good twist like, they all die except Rico, who becomes stuck in dtv hell, making c**p movies for the rest of his career. Wait a minute, what?
Casper Van Dien gives a s**t.

The second one certainly missed the point. It also lacked bullets. The guns were lame flashing lights. At least that seems to have been fixed in the third one. I have a feeling it'll be better than the second film, but some way off of the quality of Verhoeven's fantastic original. Man I love that film, even if the humans are basically the bad guys, Nazi-esque uniforms and all
Judging by the trailer the satire is still there.
Am I right in assuming these sequels miss out on all the satire of the original film?
I'll watch it since it looks like a total cheesefest. It wouldn't surprise me if this ends up on the SciFi Channel either before or soon after it premieres on DVD.
The second one was really boring! Hope there's more shower scene in this one!!
For some reason Japan is getting a theatrical release according to imdb, poor b*****ds
No Dina Meyer.I'll pass.There is a Starship Troopers 2?
I liked the second one. I will check it out given the state of Casper's career.
that new cover is much better
Loving the new cover. Finally a pic of the Marauder.

I highly doubt that people will be watching schlock like this for the story though.
Theres a story? All I got from that snopsis is that there is someone called Rico in it as he's mentioned in every other sentence. Also the movies tagline seems to imply a connection to Futurama.

why can't Space : Above & Beyond get a straight to DVD movie gotta be better than this? ST2 was an utter embarresment can't see ST3 being that good.
saw the trailer and while it'll definately be better than the 2nd movie, that one was a bore, but it still suffers from a DTV budget and when you have a movie featuring giant monsters, you need a decent budget. it still might be good but the effects are pretty bad.
i'll definately rent or check it out on tv but i dont hold out hope.

Yeah, it don't look half-bad.
The first one is prob one of my favourite B Sci-Fi flicks so I have been looking forward to this(second one was very disapointing).
The trailer makes Marauder look fun and entertaining....and of course cheesy..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7DTy_5ijV0
Looks like they got a decent budget for a direct to DVD title

A third one? I'll pass.
Whatever happened to Casper Van Dien
?
Lol. They copied Stargate SG-1/Atlantis with that photo. The lighting is extremely similar and the background is kinda too.
Yeas Eva, that did

I heard this was actually not too bad - certianly way better than the stupid Starship roopers 2 - the only thing that had going for it was the naked chicks...

I wonder if this is any good?
Couldn't finish the second one, bored me silly.
Who's the other girl on the cover? She looks nice.
