I actually enjoyed this a lot. I don't neccessarily feel the need to buy it right away, but I may rent it to see it again.

I will definitely be picking it up. Probably the 2-disc as a Christmas present for my brothers. I missed this in theaters unfortunately. But my brothers all saw it and loved it, said that it was one of Ferrell's best!
This was the first film I'd ever walked out of. Doubtful I'd buy it but perhaps a LONG time from now I may give it another chance via VERY cheap rental, TV or a friend who has it.
Is anyone else sick to DEATH of this 'Unrated' c**p?

I totally agree. Do we seriously need another 'unrated' or 'the version you've never seen before'. It's the same movie with additional minutes. Geez advertisers are very desperate.

Hideous artwork. Awful movie.
i thought i wouldn't be able to handle anymore will ferrell, but a buddy took me to see this and i found it at least enjoyable.
not great, but there were some good laughs and was way better than a few of his last films.

I wanted to check it out but it got lost in the shuffle between seeing The Dark Knight for the 4th time and Pineapple Express... I guess that's what the dvds are for.
I loved this movie. Absolutely no need for an unrated version though, the R rated version was dirty enough.
I'd actually rather see an alternate PG-13 version be released than unrated, so I can watch this with my younger sister. All things considerred, this could have been a family film if they had toned down on everything just a couple notches. Or at least a semi-family PG-13 film.
I'll be picking up the theatrical version.

Funny stuff. Lots of broad comedy, plus subtle stuff. Got slated by the critics.. like Roger Ebert knows the funny? Please!
Step Brothers was horrible. One of the worst films of the year. That is $11.95 I will never get back! NEXT!
It's the f**king Catalina Wine Mixer!

Geeez wow, movies nowadays cost $11.95? Seriously, you have to attend screenings. I haven't payed for a movie in years.

One of the worst movies of the year. I usually like Will Ferrell but this one was awful.
I'll pick up the 1-disc unrated around christmas because I liked it, but didn't think it was anything special.
Also the 2-disc artwork blows.

Never saw this but wanted to. But since Will Ferrel hasn't had any good films, the film got average reviews, and I didn't like Talladega Nights I'll pass.
Yeah this was a major disappointment. Definitely not as good as TALLADEGA NIGHTS or ANCHORMAN. Why? Like the extremely weak Semi-Pro, NO STORY. There was no story to hold the jokes up, and most of the jokes you already saw in the previews. And it was way cruder than it needed to be... this seriously could've been PG-13 had they cut down some stuff.
Actually I have to agree with SlimPickins here, I would like to see how a PG-13 cut would've been. Be more creative and do that, Sony. Should be fun for the editors. Start a new DVD trend - "the PG-13 cut!". No joke. That would be entertaining.
When does Pineapple Express come out to DVD? That was tons better. I was hoping it would be Dec. 2 but apparently Step Brothers has taken that spot, so...

Another example like Iron Man and Indiana Jones where the single disc version has the better artwork.
Wasn't interested, saw the redband trailer and thought it was hysterical, saw the movie and was let down.
I'll give the unrated version a rent, though, someday. I don't quite agree that the movie should have been rated PG-13 -- I like my movies R-rated -- but I do agree that there needs to be something sort of restriction on the content. There's nobody on set or working on these films to reign anything in, and McKay and Ferrell are far too free to do whatever captures their fancy on the day, resulting in horribly slipshot, shock-funny movies that have no replay value because they aren't witty, they're just ridiculous.

This movie was great!! Will buy for sure.
Saw it twice in theaters, Ferrell's return to glory.
unrated
i always get the unraded ones most of the time
cd_boy, you just contradicted yourself.
Will ferral hasn't made a decent movie in a while - I do not hold high hopes for this one either...
Highres artwork added for the 2-disc unrated edition
On the BBFC site they have a commentary listed with Ferrell, Reilly and Adam McKay, I'm sure it will be in the US too. Missed this in theatres so looking forward to getting it. Must get Semi Pro extended when its cheaper. I'm a big fan of Mr Ferrell.
Give me more Cowbell!!!!!!!!!!

It's almost as good as Anchorman.

Sony pictures should stop monkeying around with DVD artwork. Plus when are they going to get it that Hancock a super hero film that a digital copy doesn't pass for a 2-disc special edition.
Went and saw this in theatres hesitant b/c of the bad Talladega Nights but I must say that this movie was HILARIOUS!!!! Reiley and Farel were GREAT and soooo funny! Friday opening nights are always the best, packed theatre, and people ready to actually laugh and believe me EVERYONE in the theatre was laughing! It was AMAZING!
I dunno if I would buy it but I'll deff. rent it again! STEP BROTHERS and GET SMART were my favorite comedies of the Summer.

Why would you even rent it at all if you actually got up to leave the movie?
