this is one of the worst zombie movies i've ever seen and definitely one of Romero's worst movies (DIARY was just a tad worse). this movie is embarrassingly bad. each bad zombie movie Romero makes chips away at the legacy he once had. and he's planning on making (according to any horror movie website in interviews w/ Romero) 2 more movies to finish up his zombie franchise. i really hope Romero can pull his $hit together to make 2 good zombie movies to go out on. awesome hand cover though. too bad the movie wasn't near as good as the cover.

I actually liked Diary so I'm looking forward to seeing this. I'm just hoping I can catch it in theaters.
I liked Diary as well. I can't wait to see this!
Saw this one at Fantastic Fest last year with Romero in attendance. It has, as he put it, "some looney toon" moments in it. I found the kills enjoyable, and I liked the satirical message he was aiming for, but the overall plot was pretty weak and the characters were very uninteresting. Worth seeing for Romero fans, but the casual horror fan should probably save their money.
If you liked Diary, you'll dig it.

you guys, not to bash the movie for no reason, you may want to rent before you buy. i kid you not. be warned. i HOPE you do like it. i really wanted to. in fact i've watched it twice (to make sure i wasn't being unfair or mistaken) but it's just terrible.
Worst Romero zombie film ever. Also when it came out over here it had no special features at all, So maybe they been put on USA version to help sell it.
I liked Diary.
This on the other hand, was by far definitely the worst movie I saw in 2009, and the worst in the 'franchise'.
Seriously, if you really want to watch it, wait for it to play on TV or something, but you'll instantly regret spending any amount of money on it once the credits start rolling.

I bow to Romero for the beautiful Night of the Living Dead, but he has obviously lost his mind. Land of the Dead, Diary, and this one, were ALL terrible, terrible films.
I loved Diary, but this was his lowpoint so far. It's like an odd comedy between two Irishmen with zombies mixed into it. For shame.
Loved Diary, will most certainly get this as it actually has some extras. The UK release had zero extras. Like the DVD cover better than the BD cover, but that's pretty common these days. The BD cover remind me of LAND.
is it me or does the blu-ray cover look almost exactly the same as the Left 4 Dead game cover?
Heard this was pretty terrible. Will be renting first to see.
AWFUL movie. It's insulting that Romero actually made it.
Well, it's nice to love for Diary of the Dead somewhere! My first taste of Romero was Diary and I liked it a lot. I then moved on to his other 4 movies, all of which I loved. I have heard such bad things about this, but I will definately buy it, my first Zombie blu-ray.
I'm more of a Zombie fan than a vampire fan. You get chilling stuff like Day of the Dead, gory stuff like Return of the Living Dead, rom-zom-coms like Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland, family flicks like Fido, classics like Night of the Living Dead and Day of the Dead and now, a Zombie Western! I think Romero zombies are the best... no speed, no virus, no hunger for BRAINS!
I prefer the single disc cover to the blu-ray cover. The blu-ray cover looks very similar to the Land of the Dead DVD cover.

Same here. I enjoyed "Diary". I liked it more than "Land Of The Dead". I suppose people who dislike it felt it was too unreal - shooting footage rather then helping. That's what journalist do, record events has it happens. They chronicle life. Or in this case undeath.
As for "Survivial". Yeah. I've read a whole lot of bad reviews. I'll get this, but my expectations are low.

Anyone claiming this is the worst zombie movie ever made hasn't watched many zombie movies. Watch Premutos - Lord of the Living Dead, then get back to me, I've got about 12 more.
Ok so I have been a huge Romero fan since I was a little kid. Zombie movies are my favorite. I was introduced with the original Dawn. I liked Land and even like Diary. I was looking forward to this so much, ignoring all the negative hype I had heard about it. However, I could not even recommend this to the strongest horror fan. It struggled to keep my attention. There was very little zombie violence. Just a real disappointment. Def rent before u buy.

Oh it's definitely not the worst zombie movie ever. I'm not as well versed in the genre as a lot of people, but I'm sure that given the innumerable amount of titles, that there's gotta be stuff worse than this, which makes me doubt that I'll ever be able to sit through some of them.
I think the problem is that it's because it's Romero. There's an expectation (despite apparently Land and Diary, two films which despite being lesser than the original trilogy I found were still pretty enjoyable) and this film simply did not meet those expectations. I've honestly yet to see a positive user review.

Well, I was hoping for a review copy, as the resident zombiologist (on this side of he Atlantic, thanks for stealing my title Wilsons), but Magnolia tends to not return my emails. It never opened here in MN, and I don't have a Ps3, so video will be my first chance to see it.
I liked the movie. While it's far from Romero's best work, it was still enjoyable. 7/10
And it can't be worse than Zombi 3.
I'm still catching up with Fulci. I saw Zombi 2, which was pretty good. Gabe, I have taken note of Prembutos. Give me the full list. I am a sucker for bad movies. I actually watched Manos, The Beast from Yucca Flats and Plan 9 from Outer Space!

Hey - we don't consciously remember doing that!
We had the opportunity to get review copies of the UK release, but we turned them down because we were pretty sure that it was going to be lousy and taking critical swipes at George would be like giving your Grandad a good shoeing.
The Wilson Bros

While this was better then Diary, I still didn't really like it. I am more or less done with Romero. The man has disappointed me time and time again so screw him.
Bring on Frank Darabont's 'The Walking Dead'!

It's interesting that there's one half of Romero fans that will only love the first three "...of the Dead" flicks and the other half loving all of them, including his more recent ones(Land, Diary)
I haven't seen Survival and I would really like to. I enjoyed both Land and Diary for what they are, more so with Diary. I try not to compare them with Romero's past Living Dead movies. What Romero really needs to do is make another Creepshow movie with Stephen King.

Will someone please just tell me when the original NIGHT will come out on BLU--RAY!!!
