Does this mean we get to hear a Ricky Bobby in his 50s look back on his glory days? If so, that's mother effing genius!

This movie was a bit of a disappointment for me, though it did have its moments. I'll probably rent it, maybe it'll seem funnier the second time around.
i HATED THIS MOVIE!
I pity the people who actually watch the rated, pan-and-scan version.
I heard this was a little bit like Anchorman, and a lot of the parts in the trailer weren't in the film. And I loved Anchorman too...
Decent film. Anchorman was much better. I'll skip on the DVD though.
This movie was so lame
Sacha Baron Cohen was what made this movie funny.
Hilarious!
I didn't get the chance to see this in theaters, although I think Will Ferrel is extremely overrated. I'll probably pick this up if I don't get the chance to see it in a second run theater before it comes out.
how I wish Farrell would do more stuff like "Melinda and Melinda". he was actually funny in that movie for once
I'll rent it.
I really enjoyed this movie. I'll definately pick up the DVD,

I disagree. That guy is so annoying and his new movie Borat looks ridiculously stupid.

I saw Borat a few weeks back and it was hands down the funniest movie I have seen since the South Park movie. If you do find Cohen annoying or are easily offended, then skip it.
As for this film, it was good for one viewing but doesn't hold up too well on a second one.

this movie was awful...completely laugh-free...which is too bad considering Gary Cole and Sacha Baron Cohen...painfully unfunny!

Well, there goes my idea.

I'm not a huge Will Ferrel fan, but I somehow end up buying all of his movies. I hate Nascar too, but I'll still get it...
I was a little disappointed when I watched this at the theatre; thought it was mildly funny. Then I *cough* Downloaded it *cough* and gave it another shot and found the film nothing short of hilarious. I felt the same way about the 40-year old virgin and now it's one of my favorite comedies. I'll be picking up Talladega ASAP
Great, one of the funniest this year.

Wait till Stranger Than Fiction. I went to see it at a free screening last month, phenomenal performances by him and Emma Thompson.

The film was a great laugh
Any chance we'll see this being released in a double pack with Highlander?
this movie was surprisingly very funny. one of the only comedies worth seeing this summer. I will def pick this up!

Genius maybe, but not orignal, The DVD of the brilliant "This Is Spinal Tap" had a commentary with the cast in character, talking years later about how the movie screwed them over. Has to be one of my favourite commentaries ever.

Why not? After all it was an Academy Award nominee for 'Best Movie Made Ever'! Ha ha...I think I was the only one that laughed at that in the theatre.

Farrell - over-rated.
I was never a big Farrell fan, but I actually enjoyed this one. maybe it's cuz my mom is a nascar fan and it made fun of the Nascar industry, which to me was my favorite aspect.
No commentary on the unrated?
The trailers made this seem painfully unfunny (and so I skipped out on this one). And I'm starting to think that Will Ferrell is a one-trick pony, because he seems to play the bumbling buffoonish protagonist in every one of his films. "Anchorman" was funny, though, if only good for one viewing.
