$175(!) The bust better be an actual prop from the film for that price.
That's just crazy nuttso.
This had better feature the Special Edition version of the movie, and it would be nice of the third option SE was there, too...because I really dig those added scenes and the 'T-1000 searches John's room' scene.
If no SE, no sale. I have turned down the ridiculous 10-dollar price tag because I have been watching the SE exclusively since the days of VHS.

Where in the ever loving hell is my high def version of the stupendous expanded cut?
I can't believe they didn't bother include all three different versions of T2 on the "Skynet Edition"(or just the Theatrical and the 'Special Edition' at the very least). Very disappointed.
While the "picture-in-picture" features are great and see/hear the film in HD, I might hesitate and just keep the Ultimate Edition DVD.

I was excited when I saw that it was a 6 disc set for T2. Looking at the actual details, I think I will pass the 6 disc set. I have the Ultimate Edition, which I bought after the Extreme Edition came out, simply because I didn't think a James Cameron commentary is better than what the Ultimate Edition had to offer.
The Blu-ray looks nice, but like others who pointed it out, if it does not have the extended editions as options, I don't think I will buy it. For now, the Ultimate Edition is really the Ultimate Edition!

was the digital copy for just the collector's set or for both?
This is ridiculous. Why didn't they just include all the special features from the Ultimate Edition and Extreme Edition DVD on the Blu-ray along with the new stuff? Lame lame lame.
Actually, I'd be more excited about a new special edition Blu-ray of the first film. The sequel gets all the credit, I think the first one is just as good and ridiculously underrated.

From The digital Bits
"In other news, DVD/BD producer Van Ling has confirmed that Lionsgate's forthcoming Terminator 2: Skynet Edition Blu-ray Disc (5/19) WILL include the hidden cut of the film as well. So that's all three cuts of the film that will be on the Blu-ray via seamless branching. Here's a look at the trailer for the release..."

One of the screen caps clearly shows 'Select Version' as an option. I'm also looking forward to a decent version of the original. The existing one only has the god-awful 5.1 remix with all the replaced sounds.

Holy shi.....$175 has got to be the most a Limited Edition set for one, single movie has ever been retailed for.
If you shop around, you will get a few bargains on this item. At Dvd Empire, you can preorder it for $138.24 before a $15 discount & s/h. At Dvd Pacific, it's $119.69 before s/h. So keep on searching you will find the best deal out there!! For those of you with a multiregion Blu-ray player. You can preorder the Endoskeleton for 66 Euros!!!
Yeah but that one is only the 1 disc edition
Updated to mention there's multiple versions, though details are vague.

Ugliest T2 cover yet.
140mins of behind the scenes footage (picture-in-picture) ?
wow....so if you dont like the whole PiP thing, there's no extras to watch? damn i hope thats not right.
i still dont get the attraction of PiP but i guess some must like it if they keep using it.

The Bust is around about $121 on Amazon. I'm not really sure about this, if the rumor is true that they will re-master this in about 2 years time, it might be worth the wait. Then again, the bust looks mighty fantastic, meh decisions decisions...
Yes, cover is bad, but as far as we've known (from The Digital Bits) yes, it will include the 3 (!?) versions of the film...
However, I think this will be one of the best releases of the year, because of the new THX certified A/V, and all the extras that they've crammed into the disc...
This film deserves the double-dips, but really, a must buy from release date...

I totally agree.
For such an amazing definitive HD version of this fantastic movie, I can't believe how amateurish and tacky that cover is. It looks like mediocre fan artwork that's been knocked up in a few minutes.
I sincerely hope it's preliminary.
Cover designers have to realise, that almost always, the original poster art is the way to go.

Good thing I got the original BD on sale for, like, $9.99. Count me in for the $30 edition. And by the way - when it comes down to it, who really gives a frak about the cover art? On my shelf, the only thing visible is the spine. What's more important to me is that the content itself is worth the purchase price.
Looks like this is going to be a must have BD. I love the opening to this movie. So hauntingly beautiful.

Yawn.
I've heard this irrelevant rationalisation of bad package design many times before.
This a site (among many other things) where new DVD/Blu-ray covers are previewed and we discuss them.
For me, and for many, the packaging is a crucial part of the overall experience of purchasing/owning a movie. And (especially) in the age of digital downloads, this aspect cannot be more pertinent.
I feel that this a lame and disappointing cover. If you have nothing to add to the subject, just move on and discuss something else.

It's $121.99 at Amazon.com. I don't know why people get all bent up about the MSRP, no one ever pays MSRP.
Yep, the expensive head is better looking that the regular art.
Wow,I will admit I saw T2 like Once, without seeing the first one and it was cool. But no cinmatic genius that would NEED a SIX Disc set!!! I understand they are trying to make a buck because T4 will more then likely bomb, but still,6 Disc for ONE movie??? Even if I was a HUGE Fan of this movie I would have to pass!!!
