cant wait for the 6 disc endoskeleton edition pre ordered it off of play.com
Damn, I'm buyin' it! Then when I get a Blu-Ray player, I'm playin' it!
Six discs?! Jesus Christ! That's a lot of bonus content. :p
I just think is really stupid to bundle the old SD DVDs with the skull AND the blu-ray...and make us pay extra for it, as if we had asked...since obviously most of us already own either the Extreme and/or the Ultimate edition...and maybe the first blu-ray...
Really want that skull version..but its so spendy.
The Bust looks bloody awesome, I'm sold!
The 6 disc set is highly unnecessary and grossly over-priced, yes. There is no need to package several past DVD releases with a new Blu-ray release. It is simply ludicrous. I think this has been the general consensus. I'm a struggling college student with very little extra money, and couldn't fathom being able to pick up the endoskull, however, if I could, I was thinking it might be worth getting and replacing the dvd's and digital copy with the blu-rays of the other movies as they come out, the endoskull does seem really cool, and may possibly go for cheeper than the SRP.
On a side note - Yes T3 was def the weakest movie in the series thus far, but T4 looks awesome!

Wonder if the eyes glow?
Wow, that Skull 6-Disc looks like something normally reserved for our fellow DVD collectors in the Far East......
After T3, T4 has to be better. Bale was a outstanding choice but I'm still concerned, McG is usually like Bret Ratner. Absolutely no vision of his own.
T2 cannot be topped...and yes, the skull is the awesomest things ever!
Someone thinks McG will top James Cameron? and that Predator can be made better without Stan Winston? This must be the twilight zone.
Im getting the Skull. T2 is my favorite movie.
Wow - one of the few films I may double dip for on BD - Skull head looks great.
T4 Will NOT bomb - quite the opposite!!!!!!!
With Christian Bale on-board and trailers showing McG seems to have got this right, Arnie's Terminator may well slip down the fan's favourite Terminator films as happened with Tim Burton's Batman. Anyone thinking T4 will bomb should reserve judgement and great idea or not, the first Terminator film and elements of T2 are looking dated.
T4 should successfully re-boot the franchise and let's not discuss Arnie's acting skills lol. The Predator franchise is about to get a re-boot as the first Predator film showed-up his lack of acting skills CLEARLY!!!!!!!

Hmm, I already have the Extreme edition DVD, but I might pick up this blu-ray depending on how different the extras are. The info above isn't too in-depth. One extra I really hope they add is the 3-D movie they made for Universal Studios. Anywho, probably gonna end up picking this up. Unless anyone wishes to compare the Extreme release to this Blu-Ray would be awesome
Haven't seen Indiana Jones 4. And, I'm sorry, but I just really don't like those movies. Primarily not Aliens.
Aliens and Terminator 2 are two of the best sequels ever made. How on earth can you say they sucked? If you think they sucked, what do you consider good, Indiana Jones 4 ??
6 disks?!?!
A bit on the overkill for one movie.
A bit on the overkill for one movie.
I hate everything Cameron did after Aliens. Aliens and Terminator great, everything else more expensive bigger, louder, dumber.

how can the second movie in a series ruin the franchise, you need more than one movie for it to be a franchise in the first place. now accusing T3 of this would have made more sense but what do i know, i'm canadian...we spell color with a U.

The second in the series can ruin the franchise, because that's the one setting up what happens in the following films.
And Rebel-Scum, I'm not trying to be controversial, I just don't like James Cameron movies. Which, I really don't see as controversial.

Eh...on second thought, yeah, you're right. I apologize.
Though I do honestly hate James Cameron movies.

C**ppy sequel? One of the best sequels of all time...
terminator 2 is great.
Aliens is very bad comparing it to Alien (or even Alien3)

It's hidden on the UE DVD, it could be the same here.

That wouldn't give them 6 or 7 discs

It's not underrated, it's just as much loved. An SE for that is coming too.
As to this new T2 SE I'm happy with my German HD-DVD SE. The SE cut is better IMO.

It's hard to say with Lionsgate. They release both Region A and Region Free.

Van Ling has stated T1 is being re-done.
I'm not sure when it'll be out though.

I've held off on buying this awesome film for such a long time but that blu-ray is mine! And I'm also hoping that a new blu-ray of the first film will be released soon as well.

Agree. This sort of thing should've been like the Terminator collection pack or something. At least include T1 & T2 or all three(if remotely possible) The whole Endoskeleton skull edition is on the overkill when it's just for one Terminator movie, containing like three or four different editions of said movie.
Glad this release contains the Special Edition and Theatrical cuts(by the sounds of it)

Because logic dictates that the higher the RRP (or SRP) is the higher the dealer price is, and therefore the higher the final price to consumers will be.

Yawn.
I've heard this irrelevant rationalisation of bad package design many times before.
This a site (among many other things) where new DVD/Blu-ray covers are previewed and we discuss them.
For me, and for many, the packaging is a crucial part of the overall experience of purchasing/owning a movie. And (especially) in the age of digital downloads, this aspect cannot be more pertinent.
I feel that this a lame and disappointing cover. If you have nothing to add to the subject, just move on and discuss something else.

I totally agree.
For such an amazing definitive HD version of this fantastic movie, I can't believe how amateurish and tacky that cover is. It looks like mediocre fan artwork that's been knocked up in a few minutes.
I sincerely hope it's preliminary.
Cover designers have to realise, that almost always, the original poster art is the way to go.

Yes, cover is bad, but as far as we've known (from The Digital Bits) yes, it will include the 3 (!?) versions of the film...
However, I think this will be one of the best releases of the year, because of the new THX certified A/V, and all the extras that they've crammed into the disc...
This film deserves the double-dips, but really, a must buy from release date...

The Bust is around about $121 on Amazon. I'm not really sure about this, if the rumor is true that they will re-master this in about 2 years time, it might be worth the wait. Then again, the bust looks mighty fantastic, meh decisions decisions...
140mins of behind the scenes footage (picture-in-picture) ?
wow....so if you dont like the whole PiP thing, there's no extras to watch? damn i hope thats not right.
i still dont get the attraction of PiP but i guess some must like it if they keep using it.

So keep on searching you will find the best deal out there!! For those of you with a multiregion Blu-ray player. You can preorder the Endoskeleton for 66 Euros!!!
Holy shi.....$175 has got to be the most a Limited Edition set for one, single movie has ever been retailed for.
We heard - informed sepculation, it has to be said - that the disc includes all 3 cuts of the movie, with the third being the extended edition ending with the "future" coda.

was the digital copy for just the collector's set or for both?
I was excited when I saw that it was a 6 disc set for T2. Looking at the actual details, I think I will pass the 6 disc set. I have the Ultimate Edition, which I bought after the Extreme Edition came out, simply because I didn't think a James Cameron commentary is better than what the Ultimate Edition had to offer.
The Blu-ray looks nice, but like others who pointed it out, if it does not have the extended editions as options, I don't think I will buy it. For now, the Ultimate Edition is really the Ultimate Edition!

I can't believe they didn't bother include all three different versions of T2 on the "Skynet Edition"(or just the Theatrical and the 'Special Edition' at the very least). Very disappointed.
While the "picture-in-picture" features are great and see/hear the film in HD, I might hesitate and just keep the Ultimate Edition DVD.

This had better feature the Special Edition version of the movie, and it would be nice of the third option SE was there, too...because I really dig those added scenes and the 'T-1000 searches John's room' scene.
If no SE, no sale. I have turned down the ridiculous 10-dollar price tag because I have been watching the SE exclusively since the days of VHS.
