thats a very cool cover. whats the creepy o card mean? is it like a slipcase?
Sweet Cover.
It was entertaining, but it could've used a little something more... like a story.
This movie rocked! Blew away that lame remake real fast! Even has R. Lee Ermey's best acting in years.
I like the sound of a creepy flesh-like slipcover. Very nice touch.
packaging seems cool
This cover looks like some c**ppy DTV cover. I like the poster much better, with Leatherface walking down the highway with the chainsaw in his right hand. It's much more atmospheric and "classier" cover.
without jessica beil walking around in those low jeans I didn't like this like I did with the remake
still buy it, had a nice "oh s**t" factor to it

O-card - the cardboard slipcover that may come over top of your DVD. The 2-disc "Mission: Impossible III", the recent Sony/MGM release of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2", the first pressings of the Flashback Edition of "Dazed and Confused", and quite a few others have this type of packaging. For some reason, I think that it involves the movie studio's marketing department, as they might see it as not only a flashy thing to include over top of the DVD case, but it may also be a theft deterrent. People may be less apt to break into something that's got that slipcover over it than to break into something that's just got those adhesive strips down the side.
awesome movie but I have to admit I don't like the cover. The poster is better but this is a great movie!
amazing movie. Great cover too!!
I loved the movie...and I like the cover art. I think that the poster art was classier and captured the overall feel of the movie better than this cover. But, no two-disc edition--I would expect a double-dip soon.

Funny. I was gonna say that it should have been the teaser art.
Hopefully, it'll have a DTS-ES track to go with the original.

Looked like a hella fun ride, I will definetly be renting this first.
That's one cool cover! I might buy it based just on the cover, as what little i've seen of it hasn't impressed me. But that's a really cool cover. Maybe it's worth checking out after all?
For some reason, why does the cover have the same look as the Fear Dot Com DVD cover? Looks pretty identical.
The cover that would've of ROCKED for this would of been this one:

This one totally rocked. R. Lee Ermey always kicks ass. Definitly a purchase for me.
the pic was good, it seemed more bloodier than the last one but I liked the last one better, better acting. I am not a fan of the series even though I have seen them all. I am glad none of the remakes have been bad so far
That's really lame cover art! They should have used the good theatrical poster with Leatherface walking with the chainsaw. I missed it in theaters so I'll rent it on DVD for sure. I'm looking forward to it. From what I hear though it's really disappointing and not as good as the original remake. That sucks too because the original remake was great and better than the original. The cinematography was fantastic! Had it not been for the bad WOM I likely wouldn't have lost a lot of my desire to go see this one.

Jordana Bewster is way cuter and a better actor than Biel is.

This movie was trash. I gave it a 4/10 in a very lengthy review that tore the film apart. No atmosphere, no tension, shallow & cliché characters, and so much more that ruined a potentially decent film. Just blunt brutality is all this film had to offer. Poor carbon copy of Marcus Nispel's film. The director Jonathan Liebesman has no craftsmanship for tension or actual terror - he just goes for the cheap shock value. Only fitting that the cover art is c**p too. They tried resurrecting the franchise only to drive it right back down into the ground. Give it up, already! Stop rehashing the same s**t, and try something fresh and remotely original, please. Though, where remakes are concerned, Alexandre Aja's The Hills Hav Eyes remake shows how to do the genre correctly!

HONESTLY, Beil showed 100x more emotional depth than Brewster even tried to tap into in this film.

The trailer fot Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3, was much better than this.
F**k this stupid movie. You people couldn't sound more mentally challenged by praising this moronic film. Remake BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL? Shut the f**k up right now.
The original Massacre is a masterpiece of horror. So many movies have tried to copy the gritty, documentary style look and atmosphere of the film, but none have EVER come close to matching the brilliance of the film. It set a new standard for horror cinema and will forever be a classic of the genre. To say the s**tty, MTV-inspired, dumbed down, blood soaked assery that was the remake came anywhere close to bringing the series to a new high is a horribly untrue statement.
What's worse about this movie is you could've had something much more original and intriguing that what you got. This movie calls itself a prequel; an origin story that will explain how things have become for this family. That idea alone is stupid; when are today's filmmakers, but more than that, today's idiotic "horror fans" gonna realize that the only thing that can make a horror icon scarier is NOT knowing his origins. Leatherface is such a mysterious, scary character; now I'm suppose to believe he's so crazy because he was treated badly as a kid? Give me a f**kin' break.
And then this family has got a murder on their hands, and where you could've had scenes of tension, suspense, horror and drama just by showing a family coping with having to kill people, instead you get the same tired-ass cliches as the remake and all Massacre sequels. NOTHING NEW! NOTHING INTERESTING! IT'S THE SAME S**T!
I can accept movies that are suppose to be "entertaining," but not when they're disgracing the name of a much more important film. F**k this movie.
And the DVD cover is dumb too...

Why would anyone be interested in a 'R-rated' cut of Texas Chainsaw Massacre? Seems pretty stupid to me. Why not put both on the same disc via seamless branching?
exactly the Phantom cuz they should have rated and unrated in one disc so if they wanna show there friends they can pick which to show.
Hmm didn't like this as much as I wanted to...I'm all for blood & gore but it has to be enjoyable too...sensless brutality just for the sake of trying to be shocking. If the O-ring cover is better then I'll pick it up other than that I probably won't. I did like tho that this seemed more like a remake of the original than the actual remake.
Umm can you explain to me what an oring is plz b/c I don't get it?

I agree. I'm so disappointed at this cover, but hopefully the film is hot. The original remake, the Jessica Biel version, is my fave horror movie so... I can't wait for this one, looks scarier and more atmospheric.
