Quote: Jennifer Lopez stars as Zoe, a single New Yorker who dreams about meeting Mr. Right, having a baby and living happily ever after. But after a string of Mr. Wrongs, Zoe commits to her back-up plan: to take on motherhood alone. Zoe's plan proves far from foolproof when moments after her procedure she's swept up into a whirlwind romance with Stan (Alex O'Loughlin), the man of her dreams. Can Zoe hide her pregnancy until Stan is ready for the truth? Or will the truth send him packing? The Back-up Plan is a hilarious romantic comedy about courtship, love, marriage and parenthood - but not necessarily in that order!

Gorgeous cover.
Didn't like the film much. I could have done without that horrible, in bad taste scene where the woman is giving birth in a wading pond. Ugh.

I got dragged to see this and I thought it was gonna suck, but it was surprisingly funny. It was as predictable as any other chick flick, but it still managed to make me laugh more than I normally would at a movie like this. I don't know if I'd buy it but it's definitely worth a look.
Not a great cover, but somehow, already better than the c**ppy theatrical poster of the movie.
4got about the cell. VERY weird movie. U-turn wasnt bad, but that was odd too. A little straightforward for oliver stone though. My guess if there ever is a bluray of that movie it will be barebones. I can't imagine most the cast and crew wanting to revisit that movie
I'll rent this, but I've never been a big fan of J-Lo.
I am looking forward to seeing Alex O'Loughlin on Hawaii 5-0 this fall.

I thought it was watchable by rom-com standards, but I wouldn't watch it again. And this is coming from someone who saw SEX & THE CITY 2 twice
.
U Turn is the best movie she's been in (IMHO). Hope to see this on Blu-ray some time soon.
This looked horrible...pass!

That was one great movie. Remember watching that two times in a row on DVD when I got it as I loved it so much. Still do. Haven't seen the sequel. I'm sure it's a total waste of time but I'll have to get it now...

Actually, it was "Monster in Law" that started it. "The Back-Up Plan" was the straw that broke the camel's back.
I have to say, I enjoyed Monster In Law - I thought Fonda was ace in it.

It hit theaters April 23, 2010. 3-4 months is the now standard window between theaters and DVD/Blu-ray releases.
She looks damn good on that cover tho. Never saw this. Will only rent if my mom cares to see it. Can anyone remind me exactly when this was in theatres? It seems this is taking SLIGHTLY longer than others to come home

Oh, J-Lo, how far you've fallen. She and Alex O'Loughlin deserve much better than the c**ppy screenplay they had to work with. And the outtake reel at the end is as painful as it gets.
