go jason!
Does this movie really need a 2-Disc release? I don't think so.
Looking forward to picking this up. The film was a very pleasant surprise when I saw it last month in the theater.
Just to clarify, Lionsgate's notice said the the Blu-Ray will be $35.99 - not 39.99
I really enjoyed this movie. I want to know how much of it was actually true. I'll have to pick this one up. Big fan of Jason Statham.
I wanted to like this but just couldn't get into it. It MIGHT get better on repeat viewings though. It just wasn't fun enough for my taste when it comes to these kinds of movies
Great film, very entertaining. I might be inclined to pick up the 2-disc dvd.
I wasn't too keen on it, but then I'm tired of british crime flicks. Saw it for nothing though.
Heard this one was good. Wished I saw that instead of 10,000 Lousy.
This is a great movie. But the 2 discs editions will be just like Juno, Rambo, The Eye, Hitman = all the features on the first disc and the stupid ass digital copy on the 2nd disc. What waste of space. Charing us more money for something most of us won't be using. Digital copy is as popular as DVD-Rom = meaning most of the people who buy dvds don't use it. Why can't they do like the collector's edition of Live Free OR Die Hard = the digital copy and features are on the 2nd disc.
Blu is looking good for this one
This has digital copy written all over it. And this really doesn't need a 2-disc.
possibly the best Heist movie I've seen.
One of my favourite movies of the year and I will be picking up the two disc edition provided it's not just some digital copy.

I agree...this 2-disc digital copy only on 2nd disc is a bunch of bulls**t. Basically, they're charging you for 2 copies of the film, one of which most of us won't ever use.
How big are these digital copy files anyway? I bet I don't have the HDD space to hold them on my measely 80-GB HDD where nearly 20-GB is full of MP3s.
Also, is this movie a part of the Italian Job/Brazillian Job series?

I'll stick with my DVD rip I downloaded (that I still need to watch).
This movie is completely unrelated to the Italian Job. This is based on actual events of a UK bank robbery in the early 70's. Good flick too, highly entertaining.
Probably my second favorite film of the year so far. An excellent heist film; I know there is a lot as of late, but this is the best I've seen in years!

Actually, what i just realized with these new 2-disc releases, is that the standard dvd releases don't contain any bonus material. then for the 2-disc, all the special features go on disc 1 and on disc 2 you get the digital copy of the film. recent titles to do this are "Live Free or Die Hard", "Hitman", "I Am Legend", "Juno", "Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem", "The Eye", and others. Expect the same for the release of "The Bank Job"

Have not seen this, but heard great things about it - BD for me then!
I thought this was The Bank Job starring Perry Caravello and Johann Urb
Loved it! Will Blu buy for sure.
LOVED this film. I agree that this is great and probably the best heist flick in recent years, though I greatly enjoyed "Inside Man." I would like to do some research and find out how much of this movie is true. Definitely picking it up.
I've been on a Jason Statham binge since I saw this opening weekend. He's such a stud. I just blind bought Crank, both Transporters, Revolver, and In the Name of the King. I just saw and bought The Italian Job and borrowed Cellular from a friend. He's just fun to watch.
Snatch is $4.99 this week at Best Buy, so I will get that along with Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. My best friend has been convincing me to buy those two for almost a year now anyway.
Yes, I'm definitely obsessed with this man. :-P

I sincerely hope that they use the poster art for the DVD... I doubt that they will, but it was fantastic:

Artwork added
I haven't seen this, it looks good though. What surprises me is that a Jason Statham movie is getting positive reviews from critics.
Both of the artworks are plain and dull, nothing over exiting about them. Ehhhh its sad, for a great film.
Those are horrid.
What makes the first one worse is that it's vandalized by the words FULL SCREEN. ARRGH!
I'm ecstatic that there isn't a quote from Pete Hammond though...I see he's kinda slipping off the radar.
