This is a fantastic and now classic series that taught me everything I know about Batman as I was growing up. Even though I already own the previous collections this is an extremely tempting collection that is beautifully packaged so for that price I may consider it.

'The Batman' and 'Batman: The Animated Series' are two completely different series. You may want to fix the title of this news story.

It's in Warners press website as "The Batman: The Complete Animated Series". Is the artwork for the other one then? I've never seen either I'm afraid so I'm completely in the dark if they've made a mistake!

This will probably be released on the same day as The Dark Knight DVD. At least I hope so. The sooner the better.

The actual set is for "Batman: The Animated Series" and the pic you have on the main page for this article is for "The Batman" which is a different series altogether.

but wow, its one thing for a website to make a title mistake but for the company that actually owns and produces the show to make it...thats just sad. lol

I was just about to say that. Since The dark knight premieres this Friday and it's only 4 months (actually 3 months and 14 days) and since this set comes out it would be a perfect Batman week. But seriously I'm tired of these remastered/deluxe and all these sets.

Ok, sorry about that. I've changed the title and the promo over

I think that "The Dark Knight" will be out on DVD sometime in December. But that's just one lucky guess.

Wait a sec, so this is only the first 4 seasons (92-95)? I guess this doesn't include the followup series (with Tim Drake Robin, and Batgirl) etc that Kevin Conroy voiced. Damn.

I'm pretty sure that will be included. The art on the disc (the last on on the righr side of the pic) shows Batman in the "year one" costume he wore in the final season.

I'm not sure how the seasons worked, but the previous releases were 4 volumes. The last of which was The New Batman (Superman) Adventures of which you speak.

AH! good catch, I see that now, thanks for pointing that out.

Well, SOMEONE knows what he wants for Christmas this year (as I never bought any of the animated series sets).
I'm so picking this up.

Not to be picky, but the pic you have now is from Gotham Knight, which was just released last week.

ok, so that's beautiful!
Oh, I am so pissed. I faithfully went out and bought each individual set as they came out......Depending on what my financial situation is, a few months from now, I might be forced to pull the trigger on this anyway. I must have it!!

Yeah, thats the Gotham Knight cover.
At any rate, I might buy this; I have volumes 1 & 2 of the series, and since they're usually $40 each anyway, I'd only be spending about $20 extra for the nice box and whatnot of this. I just don't like when DVD's don't fit on a regular shelf, like this looks like it won't. Oh well, the artwork is awesome.
And I just have to say, I'm glad the're giving this some promotion, because Gotham Knight was really disappointing to me. And "The Dark Knight" is just amazing, if anyone was wondering.

I'll proberly pick this sup when i'm in New York for xmas.
I own all four volumes of this stellar series. I will pass.
That date sounds about right for the disc for "The Dark Knight." Or perhaps it will be released a week later...

I'm fuzzy on how I missed this post until today.
Anyhow, I looked at my achive.
Season One; Batman: The Animated Series - 60 episodes
Season Two; Batman: The Animated Series - 10 episodes
Season Three; Adventures Of Batman And Robin - 10 episodes
Season Four; Adventures Of Batman And Robin - 5 episodes
Season Five; Batman Gotham Knights - 24 episodes
Together a total of 109 programs, the box set.
I'm guessing they're combining the last two seasons as one.
My only complaint is that it doesn't have theatrical film, "Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm" and the two direct to video titles; "Subzero" and "Mystery Of The Batwoman". That would've rocked. And be more expensive.

I may Double Dip on this one just because i'm Moving and want to make space.
I agree with you as far as "Mask of the Phantasm" is concerned. "Subzero" and "Mystery of the Batwoman" were subpar (like drawn-out single episodes from the series), but "MOTP" is one of the greatest, and most underrated animated feature films ever made. Anyone who calls that movie (or this entire series, for that matter) children's fare hasn't a clue what he's talking about. Even taking into account Nolan's superior films, this animates series is still the finest incarnation of Batman to ever grace our screens.
Is the content the same as the four volumes? And if so, what episode is missing, since the 4 volumes total 108 episodes?
Press packs really hype these things up!
But this one got my attention - I will wait to see the real price before I make my decision...

You know, that might be worth the price.
Why doesn't this come with the 3 animated movies?
Since it's not complete, I don't even care about it.
