They havent announced its death yet... but its not a long way coming...
I want the original in Region 1!!!!!!!!!
this show is ok and Katee Sackhoff is great as the evil bionic woman but it's no replacement to the original.

Don't buy this awful show. First of all, volume one will not have all the 8 episodes shown on NBC so far. Second, this show is almost certain of being canceled because the ratings went down after each episode. And finally, the show is awful. Michelle Ryan isn't a very good lead. The storylines doesn't really follow up. The computer effects are not really good. So, don't waste your time and money on this dvd.
this show has potential but the writing is just "eh?", the main character in the first few episodes just constantly contradicts her self with her actions. One moment she is "screw you" all big and tough and a minute later she is all confused.
Terrible, terrible show that left me reeling after several publications toted it as the best new show of the season (Pushing Daisies has that honor, thank you).
And I'm so not on the Katee Sackhoff wagon...I thought her performance was awful. Actually, pretty much every thing about this show is just highly off. The special effects were cool back in 1994 and the writing seemed straight out of Teleplay 101 for 4th graders.
A gigantic missed opportunity from NBC.

Yeah, this show sucks so bad. I can't believe I watched a whole 3 episodes of it. Call me optimisitic to a fault, I guess.
I'm so buying this! I loved this show.
The show tunes me out. Always come across an episode that doesn't have Katee Sackhoff in it. I don't know, but maybe they should replace the lead and have the show focus on the evil bionic woman.
I gave up after the episode where they spent the entire time having her flirt with a college spy. It was terrible.
How could you people see the ads and not know it was made of utter failure from the get-go?
That's the incorrect title. There is no "The". This series is referred to as "Bionic Woman." The one with Lindsay Wagner is "The Bionic Woman". I love the new series, but I really wish this was the 1976 series instead.
I don't think it's canceled... yet. They're making at least 5 more episodes, and due to lack of pilots, maybe it'll be renewed?

Why not? I was under the impression that this is all 8 episodes and that this was being released to drum up interest in the show so that it can return to the air once the strike is over.

I don't know which is more disappointing--this show or the fact that it's still 10 times better than Sci-Fi's Flash Gordon.
I really hope this show makes it, I didn't think it would be any good, but I love it. Can't wait for this DVD!

Michelle Ryan is cool and could be a big star here, but she needs a better project to showcase that because "Bionic Woman" just isn't it. The poor writing and laughable dialogue pretty much sidelines everyone involved.
never watched the show, but that's a really cool cover!

I like this show, it is 100 times better then Flash Gordon which blows. I hope this is all the episodes aired so far, I'll definitely be picking it up.

Awful show, I can't believe people would spend 30 bucks on this c**p.
It's coming soon over here in the UK.
"You ain't my muvva!"
Ah, Michelle Ryan finally breaks out of the curse that befalls so many soap opera actors and actresses.
Still, not sure about the show, though!

In one of the few episodes I watched, she had a choice of 3 things she could do to train, 1 of which was doing pull-ups with her bionic arm. How doing that would help her out in any way, shape or form, I have absolutely no idea.
So in average, BAD, right? Still, why do they keep releasing in 'volumes'??

I think the purpose behind releasing Volume 1 of this series is to get more people interested so that the show returns to the air once the strike is over.
I, for one, am glad they are doing it. I can throw away my DVD-Rs once I purchase it. :-)

I would never pay full price for any DVD. I am hoping to get this for $25 or less. $20 would be nice. :-)

The original show is by no means a high standard of TV, but I don't know, this one I just couldn't get into. I think it was too slick for its own good. The original with Lindsey Wagner, though not the effects monster this one is, had a certain charm about it that this new incarnation lacks.
How many episodes were there?

Only 8 were filmed and aired so far.
I have a feeling that's all we're gonna get unless this strike ends soon.

Lindsay was a much warmer actress than Michelle. They are very different. The whole show is slicker than the original. The stories were more human. I hope I am making sense.
Not that I'm calling Michelle Ryan a bad actress, I think she's wonderful, but she is just very different from Miss Wagner, also a brilliant actress.

The new show is also much darker than the original one was too.
