Artwork looks good except that it doesn't look like Jodie Foster's holding the gun... looks like it's either floating in front of her or someone else is holding it. Definately wanna see this though
heard this was great
gotta love Jodie Foster
gotta love Jodie Foster
I wish Jodie Foster would do more work. She was the highlight of "Inside Man" which is impressive considering Owen and Washington are in the same movie. I'm not terribly interested in this flick, but I would watch it solely on brand name recognition of Foster.
Jodie Foster is awesome, and that movie kind of (and only kind of) worked only because of her, though I wish she chose roles that weren't of "women in peril/after a trauma"
A mediocre film afterall, but Jodie Foster's performance lifted the film and no doubt she was wonderful in this!!
Although, I must say I'm really dissapointed with the artwork. They should use this poster as the artwork instead. I've made this myself...

But anyway I'll pick this up for sure!!

Cannot wait, but I liked the first movie poster better for some reason.
Wow, that artwork is horrible. It's very obvious that's not even her hand holding the gun. It's almost as bad as the Office cover where Steve Carell is obviously not opening the blinds and it looks like two random arms were inserted.
This was so bad.
Another brilliant performance by Foster in a movie that never can get over it's Female Death Wish premise. I was actually stunned by the audiences reaction to this film...cheering her on and she point blank killed people. Oh well, I guess that's just an indicator on what our society deems appropriate nowadays.
The artwork is terrible. The ending to the film was terrible. they should have stuck with the movie poster artwork.
Jodie Foster gives an incredible and forceful performance. Its got great direction and an involving story. I loved it and Im totally picking it up.

It's kind of hard to care when she's killing scum. It's not like she was killing innocent people. I too cheered her on.
Great movie too. I loved it and will definitely be buying it. Jodie Foster was fantastic. But they should have used the poster for the artwork. I sort of like the cover art and sort of hate it. Jodie looks cool on it (love the hair and her eyes), but still. It just seems off. The theatrical poster was so much better.

Ohh yes i heard many good likings for this. By the way isnt that cover completely utterly plain? They should stick with the theatrical poster for the covers.
I saw this in the theater. What a prententious ripoff of Death Wish. I couldn't understand why critics liked this one, but trashed Death Sentence a week or two earlier.
Definitely buying this.
I loved this movie.
Jodie Foster is a good enough reason to buy it, alone.
Her performance was Oscar-worthy.

the movie was bad.
I don't get the release of two straight faced revenge dramas in a row in the wake of films like Kill Bill and Oldboy. Have we suddenly regressed?
And I liked this movie more when it was called Ms 45.

Looked ok. I might rent it first.
Big Neil Jordan fan (Love Butcher Boy, Crying Game, Mona Lisa) so I'll have to rent this at least. Lame cover art, I agree the original poster would have been a better choice (isn't it always) but they love the huge heads on the covers!
I hate when they have a good thing (theatrical poster) and they have to use some c**ppy art for the DVD. Some of the DVD art lately (oh who am I kidding, it's not just lately) has been awful. Death Sentence, for one. My god, even a lot of Direct-to-DVD releases have better art.
Anyway, I agree that Foster gives an Oscar-worthy performance. Currently it's the strongest female performance of the year, IMO.

I couldn't agree more. There's nothing more annoying than a "Lethal Weapon 2" Photoshop job.

Original Art work warner! We beg you!
I can't belive they're going with this totally horrible artwork! Gee....
I've seen some bad artwork but this takes the cake. Someone should really e-mail those people...

Wise words.
Hell in a 'legal and just' world where so called 'justice' means a man who kidnapped and raped (multiple times) A BABY...a BABY...can even have a chance of parole at all, let alone after just 6 years, means we should all cheer her on.
And give her an alibi.
One to see I think.

Artwork added for the standard DVD
...god. This is... not pretty. And with that artwork, it looks like the bomb of her career.
Anybody think that Jodi Foster looks like Bridgette Fonda from Single White Female?
What the heck is up with WB special features? I know they aren't really doing commentaries, but this is almost barebones. A 22 minute featurette and some deleted scenes...that's it?

Quote: “Why don’t they stop me?” Eric Bain wonders. Bain, a popular N.Y radio host, watched her fiancé die and nearly lost her own life to a vicious, random attack. Now she discovers a stranger within herself, an armed wanderer in the urban night, out for vengeance and at war with her own soul. Two-time Academy Award winner Jodie Foster, as Erica, joins Oscar nominee Terrence Howard, as a determined cop hot on her trail. Erica’s future is uncertain, but one thing is not: THE BRAVE ONE is a high- tension thriller that packs a visceral and emotional punch.
