I can't wait to get this. Didn't see it, but I'm anxious to see the original ending... before audiences changed it.

Why is the HD disc more expensive (other than it can be!)
I'm curious to see this movie though it will probably be bad.

(IS THIS A) SPOILER (?)
Which was the original ending the one where they remain broken up or some other one where ostensibly they stay together?
I didn't hate it but I was expecting a lot more funny than what I got. The trailer left me excited and the movie left me....deflated. I have no problem with the ending, but I must say that Vince Vaughn's character was truly not likable. I just couldn't root for him at all. He was just a jerk, and the story didn't even make him a lovable jerk. He's like Ralph Kramden minus the charm.

This was a pleasant surprise for me. Very Honest.
i liked this because it was honest and not some silly romantic comedy.

It costs money to master the film in HD and produce the HD-DVD, hence the high cost. Although I think this HD-DVD release will be a DVD/HD-DVD combo disc, like "Slither" and "Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift".

Stupid Brad Pitt...
This was not all that bad after I lost the coin toss to what movie we we seeing one night. I am not sure about picking up the DVD, but if one had not seen it, it was not bad, just not a chuckle-fest.

Why is Jennifer Aniston famous? She can't even remotely act and she's average looking. Oh well...
As for the movie, I heard all the best parts where in the trailer. Since I like Vince Vaughn I hope it was better then that for his sake.

I'm curious about the alternate ending.
if you're a guy and your girl didn't force you to watch this and you still did then you are a huge Spoiler flaming h
i heard that jennifer aniston hated how her chin looked on the movie posters that she said she would try to change it if she could for the dvd.
does it look any different?

I actually liked the movie, I just wish they'd stop promoting it as a comedy because it was hardly funny!
Will be picking it up though!

i think they're doing that because vince vaughn is seen as a primarily comedic actor
?
?
I want to see this but critics say it was really bad
critics dont really like ms aniston!
I thought The Break-Up was an interesting look at real relationships, but they should NOT have marketed the film as a comedy. That's what I feel took away from it.
It was a decent romcom. One that straight guys like me can enjoy with their laydays.

For a romantic comedy I thought it was pretty damn funny and I have been in a few of those situations and arguments. Maybe thats why I laughed so much.

I doubt it is $10 more to produce the HD. If they really want the format to take off, they need to get it priced the same (or at least relatively close) to DVD.

I thought the scene with the singing brother was comedic gold, if Clerks 2 haden't come out I would say this was the funniest movie I saw so far in 2006.

'mikey mike', please refrain from posting homophobic comments on the forums. It's not big and it's not clever... etc.
Not a great movie by any stretch, but a mild surprise. Very good for it's genre and refreshing.
I saw this recently and it was better than expected. I liked Aniston in this movie, I'm not familiar with very much of her work though. Vaughn was funny and his character was a bit of a jerk but I liked how his character "grew up" at the end. The supporting cast was pretty good, with Jon Favreau being the best. I want to see this again but I don't think it's worth buying..
The movie is entertaining enough, but the ending is fairly uneasy and doesn't fit in with the rest of the story.
Art's good, though. Might be a good idea to put a quote at the bottom.

Personally, I thought it was a bitter-sweet film. It was both funny and painful (in places) but the ending made the whole film interesting for me and much more memorable. Refreshing.
I liked it, it was definitely not the average Vince Vaughn comedy, but it was more honest than most, and it worked most of the time.
I'm thinking of getting this because I really want to see the alternative ending.
I still hope for a VV commentary though...

awful movie. and it doesn't help that jon favreau pokes his no-talent head in every now and again.
THANK GOD THEY'RE USING THE ORIGINAL COVER!!! I can't wait to buy this. BEST MOVIE SO FAR OF 2006!!!
Spoiler I believe for the alternate original ending instead of them staying split up with that one scene where they look at each other they bump into each other and they're dating mirror images of each other.
