How about the "I Swear To God This Is The Last Re-release!" Edition. That is, until the Blu Ray version of course...

I might pick this up just to hear the AMH/JN commentary.
you know, i realize this movie is almost like a classic staple for 80s kids (of which i am one) but i only recently saw this from beginning to end a year or two ago and i gotta admit, i didnt really like it. it didnt suck or was terrible or anything but i guess i always thought being a Hughes movie, it was another crazy comedy and while it has its moments, its more dramatic than anything else.
but whats with all these john hughes movies coming out? arent these just the same released that was in that hughes collection? and where are the blu-ray versions?

too many versions of this movie
I don't own this and that commentary sure has sold me. I don't need to pick up a Blu-ray release. A standard DVD with anamorphic widescreen will do!
"Don't Don't Don't Don't....Don't you...forget about me".
That's impossible with so many editions of this DVD on the market!

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of this movie when I saw it recently. But I might get it if it comes in a set, and stick the discs in the cool "binder" packaging I have with the old DVDs.
This release would be to coincide with the release of 'American Teen' the real life Breakfast Club documentary, see poster:

This is a better release than Sixteen Candles is getting, may just give this a purchase when it goes to the under $10.00 bin at Wal-Mart.
I might get this on DVD.
Where are the deleted scenes that are always included when this is shown on free tv????
The only John Hughes film I have is Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I like watching his films when they're on TV but other than FBDO, I don't feel the need to own them on DVD.
Why are all three movies (Breakfast Club, 16 Candles, Weird Science) called the "Flashback" edition? They can be a little more creative with our money.
I wonder if they are going to attempt to box them together in a set...

Yes, they are available in a set.
No, the studios should not be more creative. I thought we all hated the "Looking Good, Feeling Good"/"Don't Call Me Shirley"/"Fully Baked"/"Jane Doe" Editions of s**t.
Nice cover.

Leave me with my HD DVD with looks great for such an old title. With a classical cover art.
Since I have yet to buy this film I guess I finally will. At least this time there are some decent looking features and the coverart isn't bad either.

They did the same thing with these three on their last release. It was the "High School Reunion" editions. It also included 3 O'clock High, which is an awesome 80's high school pic. Prob the funniest of the bunch.

Show Dick some respect!!
actually surprised by that artwork. it's very nice.
except the "flashback edition" tag is so, um, cheesy.

Um, was this really necessary? The "High School Reunion" collection had all these movies with DTS and their original music cues...
EDIT: whoops. Just noticed the commentary. That's pretty rockin'...

Yes, I do hate the "Out of Control/Uncorked/Behind-the-Seams/A Very Jerry" Edition titles and think they should be stopped.
What I meant is that TBC and 16C have so many editions, it's about time we get a collector's edition worthy of owning. John needs to do us proud, just like he did in the 80's.
That's all I was saying.
