I was very disappointed with the movie. It had its moments only to be a wandering mess at most times

I always look forward to Ridley's extended releases, perhaps this version will even completely amend any mistakes as it did on Kingdom of Heaven. This isn't a director's cut though... is it? Kingdom of Heaven's DC made a decent movie a masterpiece, so I doubt this extended version will be on that level either way.
That's true, but Ridley being Ridley I would imagine the cut will still be under his complete supervision, especially if it's something so radical as 21 minutes.

I actually like the cover art, the color scheme is nice. I also like that the names are above the right actors.
That synopsis sent me to sleep in no time.

An extra 21 minutes sounds more reasonable.

I'm anxious to see about the extended cut though. As for the film? I am on the fence, but it's defintely not awful nor is it the A+ that Richard Roeper gave it, but he throws out A's like they're going out of style. It's defintely worth seeing though. What bugs me is if I rent it, I doubt it will have the extended cut (rental exclusives suck!). I just hate buying it to see it though. I guess we shall see.
It says the same thing on the Fox press site. I assume it will be updated eventually.

Good call. I double checked the press release and it indeed says the theatrical run time is 162 minutes. Then the DVD specs say it is 140 minutes. So I'm not sure what to think here. I'll make a note of it in the article though.

There's an extra HOUR of this movie to be seen? Does it actually allow the movie to have some kind of resolution or purpose to what happens in it because it wasn't there in the theatrical cut.
