OH! I'm definitely getting this for Channukah. Batpod Blu-Ray and 2-Disc DVD ARE MINE!
Getting the 2-discer of that one.
I have no use for the toy bike and whatever that thing is with the discs in it looks lame.
I thought they would do something a lot cooler with this, although I'm sure they will 6 months from now like the 300, I Am Legend, Casablanca, JFK box sets.
Something called "Limited Collector's Edition" or "Ultimate Collector's Edition" maybe I'll hold out for that.
Also thought the burning bat symbol in the building would have made a better cover.

getting the blu-ray version. i wonder when will it be up for pre-order on amazon?

I agree, also have no need for the bike, just going to get the 2 disc w/o the bike

I just want a normal two disk without the batpod. I really need to see it again in the theater. This film makes you question any kind of justice. I love it! Plus it has you sitting at the edge of your seat every minute. All hail the Joker! RIP Heath.
Can't wait for this release. The Blu-ray art is downright cool, and the Batpod packaging... even better.
But where's the DVD art?

Might be getting the batpod version :D

THE BATPOD IS MINE!!!! BACK OFF!!!
WOW!
I'm flippin' excited over this. Heath's best performance EVER! May he rest in peace. It pisses me off and saddens me to no end that he will never return as the Joker. He was already a big star, but had he lived, this film would have taken him to new heights. He better get an Oscar Nom and Win for this role.
I wish the burning bat-signal was the outer slip cover. That normal 2-disc edition will be mine on release day. That Batpod thing is nifty looking, but I will pass on it.
BEST. BATMAN FILM. EVER. EVER!

why are going to buy both dvd and blu ray versions???
I guess Movie with Focus points means. bonus view 1.1 PiP commentary right?
Ok guys... calm down. I know you loved this movie, I did too, but WB KNOWS that you loved it. And rest assured they are going to bleed you for every cent they can. 600 million domestically is simply not enough for them and believe me, they are swimming in money right now. Mark my words, they are going to double dip, triple dip and quadruple dip on this movie until the "BATlash begins"...
Hehehe.
Hehehe.
god u r fighting about a batpod, that surley there wont be any use...
i'll get the 2-disc edition... slip cover and two different covers. nice
and i have only one word for this movie... AWESOME!!!

Why does it seem more often than not these days the studios go out of their way to use the worst posters as the dvd covers? I suppose it could be worse, though. It could be a god awful photoshop job.
Yeah. I can see some people a few years later looking back at TDK and say, "Man, that sucked!"
The best film of 2008! Can't wait to own this film.
Yes!!! Finally!!! This Is The No-Brainer DVD/Blu-Ray Purchase Of The Decade And, Quite Possibly, The Whole First Half Of The 21st Century!!!
Note to Finding Nemo, Passion of the Christ, or whatever movie currently holds all DVD sales records. Your record is officially in danger of being broken!!!

NO!!! Don't ever leave IMAX theaters!!
If only there was a bonus audio feature that you could activate so Christian Bale's voice didn't sound like he was in serious need of a lozenge every time Batman talked.

Michael Friedrichsen wrote: I guess Movie with Focus points means. bonus view 1.1 PiP commentary right? No. The picture will get fuller in parts then switch back to normal then repeats again & again. Not sure how it will work withOUT an IMAX screen. It may fail but I'll try to be more optimistic.
As for the DVD I wish we had a better look at that since I've yet to go Blu.
Also I've seen the film four times thus far with intentions to break my personal record of theatrical viewings by adding AT LEAST one more conventional and one more IMAX. How many for you all?

I'd love to see some high-res artwork of the standard-definition discs...
Hopefully the 2-disc DVD also has the Joker version underneath, with the Batpod as the slipcover, and yeah, the burning building one is much cooler. I don't like that the top of the 2-disc is bright orange though, totally clashes with the rest of the picture.
Wonder what kinda exclusives BestBuy, FYE, Target, etc will have?
And it goes without saying, best film of the year, will buy as soon as humanly possible!!!

What an amazing movie! I saw it 5 times at the IMAX and it doesn't get old.
I wish they would've included a proper commentary though...the format of the extras seems to be identical to the ones on Batman Begins.
