Double  R2 edition has better artwork than R1 edition ... this is a much better poster. It would be fantastic if they release this in steelbook edition. :D

i can so relate. i'm in canada and i always buy my blu-ray movies from amazon.com in the states because i save around 10$ or more per movie everytime and thats including the exchange rate and even shipping. its ridiculous how expensive they are over here. the average price is 34.99$ though slowly newer releases like Iron Man and Indy 4 have gone for 29.99$ and older titles are slowly dropping too. but yeah..its just nuts.

I guess Warners UK will also release the DVD & Blu Ray with the switching from 1.78 IMAX scenes to 2.40 ratio?  While it is a good gimmick to encourage attendance at IMAX cinemas - I think the ratio switch will drive me up the wall (constantly taking you out of the film)!  I would of preferred if Warners allowed consumers to watch the film in the 2.40 ratio - if they wish to.

I found the change in ratios in DVDS such as "The Shadow" and Jet Li's "Once Upon a Time in China & America" to be very annoying...

Aspect Ratios Actually, I watched The Dark Knight on Imax twice and I really didn't find the switch very irritating. It worked pretty well and I hope it does work well on a 46" HDTV that I plan to buy. The Dark Knight and Speed Racer may be my first two Blu-ray Discs!

Would have preferred this cover for the R1 release...

Um, no... US discs have went up sharply in price recently. You can pre-ordered the UK BD for below fifteen quid, whereas the US disc is closer to twenty. High five on that cover art, much better than that silly Batpod c**p.

Fair point for when buying online. I was really talking about the retail stores here, its like they are urging you to buy on the net with their flippin mad prices.

I have a nagging suspicion that the Joker cover's underneath the slipcase. Some store is bound to have it as an exclusive or something.

Ever hear of Warner Brothers? The studio that gave the picture money and marketed it.A huge American studio, founded in 1918.

According to imdb the locations are split between US and the ol Country.

If you want to throw actors around, just for the fun of it(because actors are usually the last part of making a picture come together in pre production and tend to have little to say in the process): Morgan Freeman, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Aaron Eckhart and Eric Roberts.
