Quote: Based on the action-packed, unbelievable true story of money, power and opulent decadence, Lionsgate brings The Devil’s Double to Blu-ray Disc, DVD, Digital Download and On Demand this November. This white-knuckle trip deep into the lawless playground of excess and violence is highlighted by a star-making turn from Dominic Cooper (Captain America: The First Avenger) in an unforgettable dual performance as Saddam Hussein’s sadistic party-boy son, the “Black Prince” Uday, as well as army lieutenant Latif Yahia, the man thrust into the highest echelons of the "royal family" when he’s ordered to become Uday’s body double.

I saw a trailer for this and it looked semi interesting but never made it to theaters near me. I'll check it out, spiffy cover art, if a bit too much.

Theater I always go to was handing out free film posters of this. Loved the gold texture, and will most likely get this via Netflix. 2011 is definitely the year of the independent films. I'm still eager to check out "A Better Life" and "Another Earth."
Based on a true story....that never happened.
I thought the trailer was amazing and had me interested in it. I may get it if is a good price.

A British man did work as Uday's body double over many years. So what was it that never happened?

Saw this in theaters, really cool actually. Great performances too.
And I LOVE the poster and cover! Probably one the top 5 posters of the year!

My statement wasn't meant to be taken seriously, but their are numerous quotes from people that worked on the film, about how they weren't going for historical accuracy.
