Fox Home Entertainment has announced a DVD ($19.98) release of The Diary of Anne Frank which stars Millie Perkins and Joseph Schildkraut. The 50th Anniversary releases will be available to own from the 16th June. The DVD release will feature a 2.35:1 widescreen presentation along with with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. Extras will include commentary with George Stevens Jr. and Millie Perkins, a George Stevens Jr. and World War II introduction, featurettes ("The Making of The Diary of Anne Frank: A Son’s Memories", "The Diary of Anne Frank: Memories from Millie Perkins and Diane Baker", "Shelley Winters and The Diary of Anne Frank", "The Score of The Diary of Anne Frank"), letters between George Stevens and his son written during the making of the film, and a Fox Legacy feature with Tom Rothman
Also available from the 16th June will be a Blu-ray ($34.99) release of the film. This will feature a 2.35:1 widescreen presentation, along with English 5.1 DTS HD Master Audio. I remember seeing this when I was really young. I'll definitely rent it to see if I like it 20 years later.
